What Is The Cougars Organization?
The Cougars is a member of the JFLOCI, having joined the league in 1995. The Cougars organization believes every child should have a chance to play! It is our goal to teach football, cheerleading and sportsmanship. The Cougars have a board of parents and community volunteers that vote on how the Cougars will operate. It is important to the board that each voice is heard. We are the elite youth football and cheerleading experience in central Illinois.

What Is the JFLOCI?
The JFLOCI is a youth level football league, and consists of 29 team organizations, based in about 20 central Illinois communities. The league was first organized in 1967, with 6 original charter team organizations. The league provides a tackle football opportunity for over 4,000 children, ages 8 through 14, as well as Flag football for ages 5, 6, & 7, and Cheerleading.

 Focus of the JFLOCI
The JFLOCI is a league with a focus on four primary premises:
        1. The teaching of proper tackle football concepts, techniques, and mechanics.
        2. The opportunity for each player to execute what they learn; ALL players will play the
equivalent of half a game, for each game at the Squirt, Pee Wee, and JV divisions.  Players
at the Varsity and Senior levels each play a minimum of 10 minutes, or one quarter, in each
            game.
        3. Supporting players in their academic, social, and citizen development
        4. Keeping the practices and games fun for the kids, while maintaining an instructional, learning,
            and developmental environment.
