Get your questions answered and be prepared for camp!

cougar headuh   When does registration end?

-

Camp registration online is open until 24 before the camp begins.  However, if you miss this deadline you can always get to the camp 30 minutes prior to camp starting and register.  Just remember to bring a copy of your insurance information.

uh   Are there any discounts offered?

-

Sign up for both General Skills and Pitching Catching Camp for $500. Save $25!  Also, we offer a team discount of $25 off each person in a group with a minimum number of 9 people.

uh   Can teams attend? 

-

Yes!!  We offer $25 off discount to each player in a team with a minimum of 9 people.

uh   What is the camp refund policy? 

-

In the past refunds have not been issued.  However, we have a new operating system.  In order to receive a refund, please contact Abbie Sims at asims@central.uh.edu.

uh   What forms are required in order for my child to participate? 

-

Registration form from active.com and a copy of your insurance card. 

-

uh   What items should my child bring to camp?

-

What to bring to camp: Glove, cleats, batting gloves, helmet, tennis shoes, bat, water bottle, and a sack lunch on all full day camps. A change of clothes may be required on some days, but campers will be notified in advance.

uh   Where and when is check in? 

-

Check in will be 45 minutes prior to the first camp session. Campers can check in at the concession stand at Cougar Softball Complex.

uh   How do I get to camp? (Driving Directions) 

-

Take I-45 to Cullen Blvd. Head South on Cullen. Turn right onto Elgin. The stadium is located at the corner of Elgin and Scott.  The address to the Athletic Alumni Center which is located directly next to the softball field is 3100 Cullen Blvd, Houston, TX 77204.

uh   What meals are provided? 

-

None. Snacks can be purchased at the camp store

uh   What is a typical day like?

-

9:00am             Jog/Stretch/Throw

9:30am             Session I Begins

Noon                Lunch

1:00pm             Session II

2:30pm             Break

2:45pm             Session III

4:00pm             Day Camp Ends

uh   Will there be a medical staff at the camp? 

-

Full time trainers from UH will be present at all training sessions. If medical assistance is needed, you will be responsible for any and all costs of treatment under your family insurance.

Camp will be held rain or shine. Camp will be moved to indoor facilities at the University of Houston if rain should occur.
