Summer Camps 2009
Description: General Skills Camp is for those of you interested in learning the fundamentals of every aspect of the game of softball: infield, outfield, hitting, slapping, baserunning, pitching, and catching. This camp will allow campers a chance to put all they have learned to work through scrimmages held at the end of the week. (Sign up for General Skills Camp & Pitching/Catching Camp and get a $25 discount!!) BABY COOGS CAMP Description: Baby Coogs Camp is for those interested in learning the fundamentals of softball at a young age. This camp will include fun and engaging offensive and defensive drills for the young ones to enjoy.
PITCHING & CATCHING CAMP Description: Pitching & Catching Camp is for those interested in improving their fundamentals of pitching and catching. Pitchers will engage in numerous drills to implement correct fundamentals, increase accuracy, and increase speed. Catchers will engage in numerous drills to improve throwing, blocking, and framing. HIGH SCHOOL HITTING CAMP
Description: High School Hitting Camp is for those of you interested in learning more than the basic fundamentals of hitting. Campers will participate in high intensity hitting drills, the same drills that Division I student-athletes engage in daily. This camp will take place Monday, June 21, 2010 from 10 AM to 4 PM. (Sign up for more than one High School Camp and get a $25 discount!!)
HIGH SCHOOL SLAPPING CAMP
Description: High School Slapping Camp is for those of you interested in learning more than the basic fundamentals of slapping. Campers will participate in high intensity lefty-slapper drills, the same drills that Division I student-athletes engage in daily. This camp will take place Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 10 AM to 4 PM. HIGH SCHOOL DEFENSE CAMP
Description: High School Defense Camp is for those of you interested in learning more than the basic fundamentals of throwing and catching. Campers will participate in high intensity infield and outfield drills, the same drills that Division I student-athletes engage in daily. This camp will take place Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 10 AM to 4 PM. (Sign up for more than one High Schoo l Camp and get a $25 discount!!)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Additional camp staff: other camp staff will be college coaches from throughout the country as well as the Cougar Softball Team
What to bring to camp: Glove, cleats, batting gloves, helmet, tennis shoes, bat, water bottle, and a sack lunch.
Drop off and pickup: Campers can be dropped off and picked up at the entrance to the stadium or in lot 15H on Elgin St, which is adjacent to the stadium. Please be prompt when dropping off and picking up your child.
Visitors: Parents may attend all sessions and view from the stands. No videotaping. Day parking is available in front of the Athletics/Alumni Center at a fee of $10/day.
Refunds: Refunds will be reimbused upon request.
In case of rain: Camp will take place in one of the indoor facilities on campus. Camp will be held each day, rain or shine.
Facilities: Camp will be held in the Cougar Softball Stadium. Campers will have the feel of playing in a Division I atmosphere.
Directions to facilities: Take I-45 to Cullen Blvd. Head South on Cullen. Turn right onto Elgin. The stadium is located at the corner of Elgin and Scott.
Meals: Day campers will provide their own meals. Snacks will be available for purchase at the camp store.
Medical Personnel: Full time trainers from UH will be present at all training sessions. If medical assistance is needed, you will be responsible for any and all costs of treatment under your family insurance.
Camp Store: There will be a camp store available to the campers. They can purchase snacks, drinks and cougar apparel. Campers can put money into the camp bank at the beginning of camp to be used for purchases and the remainder will be refunded at the end of camp.

Discounts: Team Discount - $25 off each person in a team of 9 minimum. Multiple HS Camp Discount - $25 off if you attend more then one high school camp. Pitching/Catching Discount - $25 off if you attend pitching/catching camp general skills camp
