Head Coach, Mike Krajewski
Coach Mike, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, with a BS in Exercise Science, has developed High School State Champions, as well as National Meet Qualifiers. Mike is currently certified in Personal Training and USA Coaching. When not coaching CAT, Mike is training professional and tri-atheletes full time at an exclusive health club in Hartford.

Tom Merritt
A former Age Group Champion from Connecticut and a former All-American swimmer from Pennsylvania, Tom Merritt has either been swimming or coaching for over 40 years. Starting at Clarion University as the Men’s assistant swim coach, he helped lead the team to a 3rd place finish at the NCAA D-2 championships, as well as coached his first Olympic swimmer. After making his way back to Connecticut Tom coached several nationally ranked Age Group swimmers. Tom, a United States Swimming Coach, is the former coach of the Trumbull Pisces, Hopkins Mariners, Madison Racquet Swim Club, and the Old Lyme Country Club. Tom is also a father of three, and a 7th and 8th grade science teacher for the city of New Haven. Tom is looking to continue his progress with us at CAT.
From Coach Mike..... Tom brings a ton of experience to CAT and will bring significant knowledge to our Age Group Program. He is very good with technique which will be beneficial to the whole team but especially the younger swimmers. Even after years and years of coaching Tom still brings awesome enthusiasm to the deck everyday.

Jamie Cannata
Jamie is a former CAT swimmer who has been swimming her whole life. She swam at Marist College where she was the team captain as well a member of the MAAC All-Academic Team. In her Senior year she qualified for the finals in the 1650 freestyle at MAAC Championships, placing eighth overall in a time of 18:26.58. She also placed 11th in 1000 freestyle and 14th in 500 freestyle that same year. Jamie has been coaching the CAT team for 5 years now and also coaching the Haddam/killingworth Middle school team and helps with the Haddam-Killingworth summer recreational team.
From Coach Mike…. Jamie is a great addition to the team. She has developed into a phenomenal USA level coach over the past years. She provides consistent top-level coaching to the pool every day.

CAT Assistant Coach SA
Sue Anziano
Sue Anziano is a former division I varsity swimmer from the University of Connecticut. She was a Big East finalist in backstroke events, and the recipient of the McDevitt Inspirational Swimmer award. In the 1990s Sue was the head coach of the Glastonbury recreation swim team and currently coaches for the Middlesex Pool & Tennis club’s summer swim team. Sue is the mother of 3 children, all of whom swim for the CAT team, and also works as a speech/language pathologist at Burr Elementary School locally in Higganum, CT.
