Corona National: Parent Info.

Parent Responsibilities

  • Each team is responsible for obtaining a team sponsor. Ask your employer or at local businesses - You'd be surprised how cooperative they can be.

  • Become familiar with Little Leagues rules and philosophies.

  • Notify the coach in advance of a player's intended absences from practice or games.

  • Arrive on time for all team activities (games, practice, pictures, etc.). Try to stay at practices & games whenever possible, and if not make sure to pick up your child immediately at the end of each team activity.

  • Assist whenever requested to do so by the coaches, team parent, and/or other volunteers. Teamwork among the parents is important for a successful team.

  • Only parents who are registered with CNLL are allowed in the dugout during games, unless it is to chaperone a daughter on the team. Do not send younger children to carry messages to the players in the dugout. No food is allowed in the dugout.

  • Parents should not coach during the game, but should show encouragement and positive attitude to all players, parents, umpires and volunteers.

  • Support all your players and encourage good sportsmanship. Enjoy yourself at the games by letting your child play - Remember the game is for THE KIDS!

  • Behave in a responsible manner and avoid, under all circumstances, the urge to yell, belittle or jeer at ALL the kids, umpires, and/or other adults.

  • No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed at practices or games.

**Any violation of these rules will be cause for ejection from the playing area and possible permanent suspension from participating in league sanctioned activities.
