Minor - A Division Champions!!!!!
Summary of our season!
Team, I wanted to take a moment to tell you how incredibly proud I am of each and every one of you. From the beginning of the season we knew we had a chance to do some great things. We practiced hard and learned a lot about the game of baseball. But most importantly, we learned a lot about each other and learned to play together as a team. I want to share a very important phrase with you. I encourage you to read it carefully as it will certainly guide you as you pursue life goals.
"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward team objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results"
- Andrew Carnegie
I told you at the beginning of the season that wearing the same shirts doesn't make us a team. Each of you worked hard to contribute to the goals of the team and we are proud of you. You proved to everyone that giving 100% to anything you do can lead to good things!!!
Jezzy - You are an angel from up above! You stepped up an showed us that you were serious about contributing to the success of this team. Your passion and excitement for the game inspired all who watched you pitch throughout the season. You proved that girls can pitch in this league and can pitch well!!! You have a lot to be proud of!!!
Bobby - What a year!!! I am so proud of you Bobby. You are a true testament to the idea that hard work will certainly pay off. Thanks for believing in me and giving me a chance to help you in the off season. You made me proud and you have transformed yourself into a complete player on both sides of the ball!!
J.B. - What can I say. I remember you taking many baseballs to the head as you were trying to learn the game and learn to catch a baseball. For a kid that has never played before, you have a lot to be proud of. All of us coaches are proud of what you have accomplished and we are amazed at the transformation that occurred right in front of us. You are a ballplayer and I look forward to continuing to watch you grow and develop over the years.
Emily - You have been a blessing to this team. Your fire and determination to be successful inspired every member of the team. That persistent smile of yours kept every member of the team happy. I am hard pressed to find another player who works as hard as you do. The transisition from softball to baseball is not an easy one but you showed everyone that it can be done quickly.
Tyler - You are another one that believed in me. We worked hard in the off-season and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to pick you up. You have set the tone for us in that leadoff spot throughout the year and you anchored our outfield with your speed and vision. I am proud of how far you have come over the years.
Justin M. - You are another example of someone who worked hard in the off-season. The differnece you made in your batting this year was dramatic! You have a bright future in this game and I encourage you to continue to work hard at everything you do. I know you and Dakota are best of friends and I look forward to watching the two of your grow up together!!
Kevin A. - My biggest concern going into the season was who can step up and hold down one of the most important positions on the field. You stepped up and showed us all that you can handle the ball at 1st base in any situation. You worked hard all season long and it was a pleasure to watch you grow at that position. You are a fantastic kid and I enjoyed your quiet and subtle humor.
Kyle N - Nobody would ever believe that you have been catching for less than a year. Having played the position of catcher for over 12 years I know how difficult the position is. I was impressed with your desire to learn the position but was even more impressed watching you put those skills to work for you. From one catcher to another, I am proud of you!!!
Jeremy M. - You have become a sponge for learning the game of baseball. We have watched you execute some of the finest plays seen all year. I cant wait to work with you in the off-season on your swing. You controlled your emotions this year and that translated into consistent performance for you. I am very proud of you!!!!
Robert G. - Wow!!! You worked so hard all season long and you were determined to be an impact player. We had many discussions about working hard for yourself. You did exactly that!! You worked hard for yourself and that translated into benefits for the team as a whole. I am very impressed with your determination to be successful. That will carry well for you in life!!
Dakota - ...and then there was one! My hero! You are one of the hardest working kids out there. Your focus and determination to do well in everything you do served you well once again. Congratulations on 4 straight trips to the championship game. You have worked hard for this!!! You were a rock for us all season long!!! I Love You!!!!
Coaches!!! - Thank you all for your hardwork and dedication. We did a fantastic job this year and we did it working together as a team!!!
Crissy - Love ya!!! Thanks for working so hard all season long. You are an awesome team mom and we all thank you!!!
Laurie - Thanks for being a dugout mom for us this year and most importantly thank you for all of the words of encourangement you gave me during some of the more difficult times.
Parents, Thanks for all of your support this year! I hope we gave you all something to be proud of!!! Remember to continue to work with the kids in the off-season!!!!
One last quote team and that is:
A Championship Team is a Team of Champions.
Win or Lose, we are all very proud of you!!!
