Cornell Big Red is going dancing!

Congratulations to the Cornell men's basketball team in their 86-53 victory over the Harvard Crimson!!!! With this win, the men's basketball team has clinched the Ivy League Championship Title and secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament! Cornell is the first team to officially enter the tournament so far this season. The last Cornell team to win the Ivy League title did so in the 1987-1988 season, and in the last 20 years, only Penn and Princeton have gone on to the Big Dance. Ironically, Cornell finishes out its regular season on the road against the two P's this weekend, March 7 and 8.

The Big Red cheerleaders have cheered on the team (20-5, 12-0 Ivy) at home all season, and are thrilled to have been able to cheer the team to success that hasn't been reached in 20 years! Prior to Saturday night's game, graduating seniors Morgan Bellows and Rachael Sands, as well as basketball senior Jason Hartford were recognized. The CU cheerleaders are currently making travel plans for the first round of March Madness! Division I Selection Sunday is March 16, with the first round kicking off on Thursday, March 20. Stay tuned for pictures from this weekend's exciting games... we'll CU at the DANCE!

Let's go RED!
