Signups for the 2010 softball season have completed!

2010 scheduled signups, and tryouts for Majors & Seniors divisions are now over. Players will be notified by their coaches once the team rosters have been finalized. 

Concord National Youth Softball League will be holding an "Evaluation" for girls ages 6 thru 10 at Rollins Park on Wednesday, March 17 at 5:30 PM.  All girls interested in playing girls youth softball between the ages of 6 and 10 should attend the evaluation. This will also be the last day for sign-ups!

Late signups for AA & AAA divisions conclude on Weds. 3/17. 

Go to the "Handouts" section of this site and download the 2010 CNYS Registration form and follow instructions on the form or bring to Rollins Park on Weds 3/17 at 5:30 PM in time for evaluations.

Eligibility:

Parents may sign up their 7-16 year old daughters for AA (Coach Pitch), AAA (Kid Pitch), Major or Senior softball divisions. Please note that players interested in Major & Senior level play must attend a pre-season tryout if not already on (and still eligable) for a team from previous season. 

2010 Player fees: Single player $60.00. Maximum $100.00 per family.

LEAGUE AGE:  Determined by a girl’s age as of December 31, 2009.  Any girl born between January 1, 1992 and December 31, 2004 will be eligible to play  in our league in 2010. Girls under the age of 5 as of December 31, 2009 are NOT eligible to play. Any girl born in 1991 is NOT eligible to play.

Registration note: Any new registrations must provide a copy of birth certificate at time of registration.

Encourage your daughter(s) to join Babe Ruth Softball. The fastest growing softball organization in the country and New Hampshire is ranked in the top 2 states in the US. There are now more than 120 communities supporting 60+ leagues and over 500 teams in N.H. Babe Ruth Softball.

Boundaries for Concord National include: The west side of the Merrimack River to the Bow town line, and the State Hospital side of Pleasant St. to the Hopkinton town line.

Congratulations to all the 2009 area All-Star teams. 

The Babe Ruth Softball 16U World Series players who represented the State Capital in the Babe Ruth Softball 16U World Series are: Vanessa Benincasa, Rachel Boynton, Heather Calley, Erin Demers, Joardyn Doulliette, Katie Kennard, Marciana Longley, Sarah Lucius, Kelsey Martel, Amy Morin, Jasmine Morin, Emilie Muller, Kimberly Nesbitt, Hannah Parker, Lindsey Stevenson, Trish Sloper (bat girl).

All team members participate in Concord Northeast, Concord American and Concord National Leagues.  Several are also members of Concord High School, Bishop Brady High School and Merrimack Valley High School softball teams. Not only was this the "Host" team, but they were contenders who earned the respect of every coach and player from across the country after such a great run.

2009 U-14 All-Star players who represented the Concord American, Concord National and Concord Northeast Leagues are: Kelsey Bisson, Shana Crosby, Megan Ficarra, Courtney Giddis, Charley Hoadley, Kaitlyn Kelleher, Michelle Laflam, Rachel Lajoie, Brittany Littlejohns, Alexandra Manias, Leah Meunier, Anne Muller, Emily Reale. The team was managed by Bob Crosby and coached by Ken Lajoie, Tom Ficarra and Lou Manias.

2009 U-12 All-Star players who represented the Concord American and Concord National Leagues are: Chelsea Hoadley, Erin Reale, Briana Ahern, Samantha Clapp, Samantha Curran, Maegan Cudworth, Meghan Beckett, Kayleigh Lassonde, Rebecca Reagan, Makayla Whittemore, Jacklyn Mariano, and Kalli Sargent. The team was managed by Eric Sargent and coached by Jeff Hoadley.

2009 U-10 All-Star team players who represented Concord National & Concord American leagues were: Madysen Audet, Emily Beckett, Taylor Carchide, Chelsea Dunn, Isabelle Dunn, Lauren Hatch, Rachel Hunger, Anna LeBrun, Shea Mathews, Stephanie Oberg, Madelyn Rines, Caitlyn Shea, Danielle Taranovich, Bridget Weeden, Briana Wright. Glenn Mathews (Manager), Fred Rines & Scott LeBrun (Coaches) and Buddy Carchide & Stu Beckett (Asst. Coaches). were joined by Skylar Mathews and Nicole LeBrun (Bat Girls).

2009 Championship Results:

Seniors Championship game yielded tough loss for the Concord Monitor team. A pitchers duel continued up until Sunweet opened the game up with a 6 run inning. The final score remained 6-0, awarding Sunsweet (of the Concord American League) the 2009 Martel Cup City Championship. Congratulations to the winners and to Concord Monitor (Concord National) for a well fought game and season.

Majors Championship game for the 2009 Towle Cup is now in the record books with Redlon Custom Carpentry (Concord Northeast League) defeating Concord National's Beckett Glass Phillies 14-4 in a hard fought game. The Phillies struck first early in the game, and kept it close for most of the game. Ultimately, Redlon Carpentry put up plenty of runs for the title. Congratulations to the winners, and to the Phillies and their coaches for giving the Concord National Fans a great season and championship game to enjoy.

In AAA Championship action the Concord National teams faired well with all 3 of our teams (Claudia's, Desmarais & Vermette, & Vinnie's Pizzaria) in the final four. the Championship game had defending Champion Claudia's take on Vinnie's Pizzaria for the fifth time this season. In yet another exciting game that came down to the bottom of the final inning to crown this year's champion, Claudia's prevailed with a 5-4 win over a well matched opponent. The Claudia's 2009 roster was: Chelsea "The Hammer" Dunn, Rachel "Stingray" Hunger, Danielle "Screamer" Taranovich, Shea "Dice-Shea Mathewzaka" Mathews, Kathleen "Pounder" Duhaime, Sophie "Sophinator" Pratt, Lauren "Dash" Mullen, Anna "Turbo" LeBrun, Brett "The Rock" Stoddard, Isabelle "Speedy" Dunn, Emily "Little Papi" Beckett (see: team picture at bottom of page). Congratulations to both teams for making it to the Title Game.
