That is how the headlines would read if it made the local paper. Darby Prescott drives in the winning run in bottom of 6 to put comets into the Championship game. This was the seventh tournament and we have either won or placed second in all of them. Our record is now 28 & 9. Comets storm into the month of April !
The comets have played well in the month of April. We have played in two tournaments so far this month. We placed second in the Battle for the Bucks 2 after having to battle through the losers bracket. The girls showed great character by getting themselves back into the Championship game after playing six games back to back without a break. We also played in the April fools tournament in Franklin TN the weekend of April 9th. We came out swinging the bats the first game of the tournament and scored 16 unanswered runs. We went on to be undefeated in this tournament and won the Championship. I am so proud of each and everyone of the girls! Lets keep working hard and great things will come our way.

The month of May has been good to the Comets
The month of May has been good to the 10u Comets Red. First of all we placed second in the Clash for Cash tournament in Franklin, TN. We had a little let down against the Frost Falcons in the Championship game but over all we had a good weekend. Then we played in the Meyham Daze tournament at Palmer Park. We won the Championship in this tournament scoring 60 runs and allowing only 5. We will play two more times this month. I hope the month of May continues to be good to us.

The weekend of May 13 we played in the Hartselle Heat tournament in Athens, were we scored 79 runs and gave up only 1 run. All of girls were hitting and playing awesome defense. The weekend of May 20 we played Franklin Tennessee. The tournament was sponsored by Sonic. It was a great tournament.
