I am of the belief that basketball is about opportunities. In every game there are moments that create opportunities in which the outcome of the game can be affected. A crucial steal, an offensive rebound, clutch free throws, a perfectly timed pass, all can turn a game into your favor.

The Colorado Xplosion is a 17 and under boys traveling team, which has an opportunity to effect the outcome of many games this spring and summer. Playing against the best competition and in some of Colorado’s biggest tournaments. We are looking to play over 40 games between April and July and we expect a lot of opportunities.

Summer basketball is different in some ways to the regular high school season, several games are usually played over a two or three day period, the game itself is typically shorter, the gyms are hot, and there is a lot of traveling. However, the amount of experience, games played, and overall competition is priceless. Many high school and college coaches view off-season basketball as a huge key to a player’s success during the regular season. Game time experience can’t be replaced with practice, or your typical pick up game, Players need the opportunity in the off-season to continue to hone their basketball skills, awareness, knowledge, and competitive edge. Colorado Xplosion will seek to give these young men that very opportunity.
