THE POWER OF ONE: Basketball is a TEAM sport.  Those teams that succeed:
  • come together as ONE unified group off the court
  • play together as ONE on the court...the sum of their five parts creating ONE cohesive unit
  • sacrifice all individual agendas and instead have ONE agenda.
Only true TEAMS succeed...not always the one with most talented players (see Miami Heat and Boston Red Sox) but instead the one that plays as ONE cohesive group (see Dallas Mavericks and St. Louis Cardinals).  The ultimate success and enjoyment of a season often comes down to which group comes together as a TEAM and acts as ONE!

A-B "PLAYERS PAGE" - There is a new link / page on the left for present and prospective A-B Boys Basketball Players.  Check it out regularly for announcements and reminders.

SACRIFICE - TRUST - TEAM : These are the three words that the A-B basketball program are about.
  • SACRIFICING one's personal goals and instead focusing on what is best for the team.
  • TRUST between teammates and coaches on and off the court, as well as TRUSTING that focusing on the process will take care of the results.
  • And recognizing that it is SACRIFICE + TRUST that develops a true TEAM.
A true TEAM is more than just 13 players wearing the same uniform.  It is 13 players truly dedicated to selfless play and one another.  This is what the program strives for every day and expects of all of its players.
