CBSL: 2009 Divisions
TBall TBall Instructional Baseball/Softball Division for boys and girls ages 5, 6 and a limited number of 7 year olds.
The goal of TBall is to teach the fundamentals of the game to young players.
TBall teams practice one night a week on a designated day for an hour.
Games are held on Saturdays starting in April. Games last one hour. All players bat in an inning. Fundamentals and skills are stressed week to week.
7/8 BB
The 7/8 BB Instructional Division is for 7 and 8 year old boys and girls.
Teams typically will practice once a week and play two games a week during the season. Standings are not official and there are no playoffs.
The league is a player pitch/coach assist league. Coaches will step in to pitch when a pitcher has given up two walks in an inning, and another batter has received 4 balls.
There is no base stealing during games, and time will be called when the ball is controlled by a fielder in the infield.
Maximum Game Length: 1 Hr and 45 Minutes.
9/10 BB
The 9/10 BB Instructional Division is for 9 and 10 year old boys and girls. There may be a limited number of league age 8 year olds asked to play in the division based on EOB approval.
The teams practice once a week and will play two games a week.
All regular little league rules are followed at this level.
11/12 BB
The 11/12 BB Division is for 11 and 12 year old boys and girls. This is the Major Level baseball program.
Teams will practice at least once a week and play at least two games a week. At the end of the season, a short playoff series will be held to determine the league champion.
All regular Little League rules are followed at this level.
SR BB
The SR BB Division is for 13 to 16 year old boys.
Teams typically will practice once a week and play two to three games a week during the season. The actual schedule and location of the games may change annually depending on the league affiliation of the SR BB Division.
This level follows the standard Senior League rules established by Little League.
Games usually are completed within 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Minor SB
The Minor SB Instructional Division is for 8 to 10 year old girls. There may be a limited number of league age 7 year olds allowed to compete in the Minor SB Division.
Standard Little League Softball rules are followed with the exception of coach assisted pitching.
Major SB
The Major SB Division is for 10 to 12 year old girls. 10 Year olds are selected to play either at the Minor or Major level based on a try-out and EOB approval.
Teams usually practice once a week and play two games a week.
Standard Little League Softball rules are followed.
SR SB
The SR SB Division is for 13 to 16 year old girls.
This league travels to other towns within the district to play games against similarly constructed teams.
Rules follow the standard Senior League Softball rules established by Little League.
