Practice Schedule for travel teams the week of 11/30/09.

Note:  This Wednesday night we are having to begin practice 30 minutes later than usual do to a function at St; Vincents.  If any girls need to leave early because of tests, etc. that will be fine.

Wednesday at St. Vincents  (December 2nd)

7:00 - 8:30    15 and 16 year old teams  

8:30 - 10:00   18's (both teams)

Saturday at Savannah Christian Chatham Parkway campus (old gym) (December 5th)

Note:  We will try and practice the 13's and 14's at the same time but this week we need to use the old gym which has one court.  

9:00 - 11:00    14's  

11:30 - 1:30     13's

Sunday at St. Vincents (December 6th) 

1:30 - 3:30    15 and 16 year old teams

3:30 - 5:30    18's (both teams)

First of all – thanks to everyone who tried out for a Club Savannah Volleyball team this year.  I am proud of all of you.   Listed below are the teams for the 2010 season.  We will not have a practice until after Thanksgiving, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday December 2.  More information will follow.

I know it is terribly disappointing for those of you not selected for a team.  Keep your head held high and do not give up.  I recruited another coach with great experience because we had such a large turnout this year.  Before tryouts were completed, a few players decided not to play, which would have left a team of six, possibly seven players.  From past experience, we have found out it is very difficult to maintain a team with so few players.   In the near future I hope to announce a schedule for weekly skills sessions to anyone interested in improving their skills.

Middle School Travel Teams 

 

Thanks to all of the girls who tried out for the 14 and under age groups.   It was such a pleasure to see your positive attitudes and enthusiasm you had throughout the tryouts.  Listed below are the rosters for the 14 and 13 year old teams.   Congratulations to all of you who were placed on a team.  For those of you who do not see your name on a roster do not get discouraged – we recommend that you participate in our developmental league, sharpen your skills and come back strong next year.  You will also notice that we do not have a 12 and under team listed.   We also recommend that girls in the 12 and under age group participate in our developmental program.   If you have any questions please contact me – Mike Lance – mdlance@comcast.net.  NOTE:  We will post the first practice for these age groups on Monday evening - December 1rst.
