Qualified.....but NOT Satisfied.........
As the saying goes......."the show must go on...." and this was true in the 2008 Big South Qualifier held in Atlanta, Georgia. After a tornado hit the Atlanta downtown area one week prior to the event, organizers worked around the clock to make sure "the show was on". Although, the venue changed from the Georgia World Congress Center to the Georgia International Convention Center by the airport, the tournament ran as planned.
Club Cincinnati, seeded #7 in the tournament and #2 in their pool, went to work winning the pool in day one and beating a very talented #1 seed Front Range team from Houston, Texas.
Day two also found the girls from Cincy challenged as they faced teams from Alabama, Houston and Tampa. Finding themselve in a three way tie for first, Tampa Bay won the pool by game %. This lead to a playoff game between Houston and the Cincy Girls. Cincinnati came off of a great match from Tampa Bay beating them in two and carried the momentum into the Houston game and secured a place into the Gold Bracket for the final day.
Day three Club Cincinnati split the 3 team pool beating Willowbrook, but losing to Northern Lights in 3 placing them second in the pool and losing to KC Extreme for 4th place.
The Big South Qualifies the top 3 teams to Nationals in the Open Division. KC qualified in the Mid East Qualifier the week prior, so Club Cincinnati was granted the Bid to the National Tournament held in Dallas Texas in the first week of July.

Serving Tends To Be The Name Of The Game
