The New Field is Ready!

Thanks to all of coachs, parents and volunteers who came out on Saturday,  April 7, 2007 and to help transform the bottom field into a beautiful new baseball field.

Karen Polite, CCA President, said that constructing a baseball field is hard work. Tasks included cutting grass, tilling soil, watering dirt,  moving dirt from the top of the hill and pulling weeds, raking home plate and the pitcher’s mound, and measuring the fields, is not as easy as it seems. “It was some of the hardest work I’ve ever done"

Funding to transform the baseball field came from various sources including CCA.  Special Thanks to WJ Enterprise Landscaping Company, Willie King who provided the guideness and equipment to get the job done.

Because of the generous assistance of this committee, the young people in this community have a safe place to play and a regulation field for future games.
