17TH YEAR OF COBRA TRADITION CONTINUES
The Clifton Cobras Softball Organization was founded in 1992 by Joe Dolinoy. During the past 17 seasons we've continued to be one of the top softball organizations. In 2009, the Cobras have teams at the 16U & 18U level. We are intent on having teams at the 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U levels for 2010.
We've spawned nationally competitive teams at every age level, traveling throughout the country allowing our girls to be visible to college coaches. Our 2006 18U Gold Fall College Showcase Team compiled a season record of 20-2-1. Our 16U Silver Team finished in the top 16 at PONY Nationals in 2005. We are extremely proud of the fact that every girl graduating from our 18 & under team is attending a college/university. Our ultimate goal is preparing our girls athletically for college and stressing the importance of maintaining high scholastic standards so that we may assist them in pursuing college opportunities. We are very proud of all of our girls and will continue to strive for excellence both on and off the field as well as guide them toward fulfilling their goals. Tuesday, June 9

18U Gold & 16U Silver finish 1st and 2nd respectively at the Montreal INTL Fastpitch Challenge
Congratulations to the 18U Gold and 16U Silver who finished 1st and 2nd respectively in their age brackets at the Montreal International Fastpitch Challenge. Both teams played the maximum 10 games - with 4 games on 7/8 during the single elimination reaching the Finals. The 18U Gold (seeded #2) won the Championship and 1st place with a 2-0 victory over the previously undefeated Quebec Canada Rebelles (seeded # 1). The team finished the tournament with an 8-2 record. Their 2-0 victory over the Rebelles avenged one of their only 2 losses in 10 games which occurred during pool play. The 16U Silver captured 2nd place. The team began the day as the # 8 seed and continued to impress with victories over the #1 and #3 seeds... earning their way to the final championship game. The team came up short to the NY Miss Shen Cyclones in the championship, but should be very proud of their 2nd place finish and overall 7-3 record during the tournament. Congratulations again to both teams for representing their teams, the organization, and the USA impressively!
