2008 Flames 15U Tryouts

The Cincinnati Flames coming off a fantastic year will be holding tryouts for the 2008 15u team on August 12th from 10-11:30 at the UAW Field in Fairfield.  The field is located 4 miles north on Rt. 4, then righ on Hicks Blvd., then left on Symmes Rd.  UAW will be immediately on the left and the field is behind UAW.

We are looking for a few outstanding pitchers & players to fill out our roster.

In 2007 this teams accomplishments included winning the Michigan 28 team Super NIT qualifying them for the prestigous Elite 24 in Orlando.  They also won the SWOL National division, won the Louisville Snowball tournament, 2nd place Spring Swing NIT, 3rd place Tournament of Champions and 3rd place Summer Classic.  The team also competed this year in the Schaumburg Slugfest, Ohio USSSA State Championship & the AAU Nationals in Sarasota, Florida.

Based on these accomplishments we are looking for players that were key contributors for their respected teams in 2007 and willing to play against the top competition in the Midwest and across the country in 2008.

For additional information please contact Kevin Alexander at 513-200-7350.

2008 Flames Summer Classic Tournament
How much better can the 2008 15U tournament be ?  If interested in attending please email me at alexander_kevin@sbcglobal.net.  This year's event is being scheduled for 6-12/6-15 and is already FULL with 24 teams, representing 8 different states & all parts of Ohio.  An elite field of 24 teams have been assembled making it bigger & better than last year.

The 28 team tournament for 2007 tournament was outstanding.  Not only did it include teams from IL, IN, OH and KY but many were the premier teams of their area or state.  At the time of the event many were either ranked in the top 5 of their state or some even ranked nationally.  These are the type of comments we received about the tournament :  "the competition was fierce", "From the pre-tournament communication, your accessibility during the tournament to the level of competition present, first class."  "Having the scores, pitching, etc.. posted asap after the games, is very refreshing from "other" tournaments we have played in this year.  First Class !"

Stay tuned for future updates !

The Cincy Flames have one of the top programs in the country and this team is looking to make some noise this year. Cincy has added some new talent to an already very good team. The East Cobb Braves will be very tough this year. This team is loaded with pitching. The Knoxville Yard Dogs have been a solid team for years and is predicted to be the favorites to win this pool." Looks like the Flames will have their work cut out for them.
