  • Sponsor Update
    • Sponsor Signs have been placed at the park, new signs have been ordered

 

  • Fundraising for Fall
    • Wal-Mart raised $1,652.91 which was disbursed to 30 travel players.
    • Community Day raised $631.90 which was disbursed to 13 travel families.
    • Family Bingo will be held on Friday night October 22 in the Chi MS Caf
      • Flyers will be distributed in the Chichester Schools next week
      • Donation letters have been mailed to all of the local professional sports organizations
      • Volunteers will be soliciting local business for donations over the next couple of weeks

 

  • Snack Bar
    • We need Volunteers!  If we cannot get volunteers to cover the Snack Bar it will be closed.
    • Kelly will be walking around during Rec practice to solicit volunteers
    • Christina will post the Sign-up Sheet outside the Snack Bar

 

  • Photos for Fall
    • Picture day will be Sunday October 3, 2010.
    • Schedule has been handed out and is on the club website

 

  • End of Season Celebrations
    • Elleni will be sending the Board a list of options by Saturday September 25
    • The Board will make a decision via email

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TreasurerTerry

  • Terry Harm has transitioned into the Treasurer’s position as a result of Darlene’s resignation.
  • Terry stated that records / documents and accounts were received up to date, organized and in good order.
  • Darlene needs to go to the Bank to have her name removed from the Club Bank account.  Once this has been completed, Terry can have herself added to the account. Darlene committed to get this done by Saturday September 25.
  • Everything we’ve received to date (uniforms, equipment, etc…) has been paid
  • Outstanding items to be paid are Coaches shirts, Back-ordered Travel Uniforms, and Academy Shirts
  • We will be presenting the End of Season Trophy and Pin order at the October Board meeting.

 

  • Equipment
    • George will be ordering 40 Small Orange Cones (Hats) and 36 10" Stand-up Cones for our U4 division.
    • George is also getting prices for CSC Jackets, Hoodies and other Club related items to be sold in the Snack Bar this season

 

  • Travel Uniforms
    • The extra U12 Gunner uniforms were given to Jaguars leaving the U12s short uniforms.  As of now, all U12 Gunners have uniforms; however any new players will have to wait until the backordered uniforms arrive (tbd).

 

  • Rec Uniforms
    • Kelly has distributed all of the Uniforms.
    • Coaching Shirts will be distributed within the next two weeks

 

  • Fundraising Ticket Distribution
    • We will be distributing the tickets on Saturday October 2
    • Tickets can be picked up at the Snack Bar

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Director of Soccer DevelopmentJoe

  • Player Development Coordinator – Joe
    • Coaches have all been given a handbook and one round of Coaching Clinics have been completed
    • Joe completed the second Coaching Clinic for the U4 Coaches last night.
      • Joe and the coaches came up with an exciting “game plan” for the U4s
      • The U4s will begin following this plan immediately
    • Joe will run the second Coaching Clinic for the U6-U14 Coaches next Tuesday 9-28 at 6:00 at Rocco Gaspari Sr Park
    • Joe and Al are also planning on working closely with the Rec Divisional Coordinators this fall to further assist the coaches in meeting the goals of Player Development program.
    • All Travel and Recreation Coaches are expected to follow the Coaching Guidelines set forth by Joe and the Player Development committee.

 

  • U8 Academy program – Joe
    • Joe and Al are planning to start the CSC U8 Soccer Academy on Wednesday September 29.  Players will be charged $40 for a 4 week session and $60 for an 8 week session.  Session I will run every Saturday from September 29 through October 20 at 6:00 PM at Hewes ave.  Session II will run every Wednesday from October 27 through November 17 at 6:00 PM at Hewes ave.
    • All participating players and coaches will be given a special CSC Academy T-Shirt.
    • Players will be evaluated for participation in the program in September and will be notified at the end of September.

 

  • Skills Competition and King of the Hill Tournament
    • Joe confirmed that the Skills Competition will be made up of three events
      • Dribble/Shoot
      • Scoring
      • Obstacle Course
    • Boys and Girls in our U4 and U6 Division will compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
    • Winners will be awarded by Gender and Age at the end of season party
    • The U8, U10 and U14 Divisions will compete in the Annual King of the Hill Tourney
      • Teams will be randomly assigned games over Two Saturdays and will compete in a double elimination tournament.
      • Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded in the U8 divisions
      • Gold and Silver Medals will be awarded in the U10 and U14 divisions

 

 

 

 

Director of League Competition Fred

  • Recreation Program – Kelly
    • Kelly is doing her usual outstanding job with the Recreation program.  All of the Divisions have a Coordinator and all teams have coaches.
    • She will be making suggestions for Coaches and Player gifts at the next Board meeting.

 

    • Coach Curry would like our Club to participate in the two remaining High School Boys Night games this fall and the High School Girls Senior night.  He would like to have our players participate as Ball Boys and Girls, play small sided games at half-time and walk out with his Varsity starters before each game.
      • Kelly and Fred will ask all of our Rec and Travel players to participate.
      • Upcoming Night Games
        • Thursday 9/30 7:00 PM
        • Tuesday 10/12 7:00 PM – Boys Senior Night
        • Thursday 10/14 7:00 PM – Girls Senior Night

 

  • Travel Teams –Fred

·        Our Boys and Girls Travel teams have played 1 – 4 games to date.

·        All of the Coaches are very satisfied with their teams’ progression and performance to date.

·        Terry distributed Referee money for the remainder of the season.  Teams that make the playoffs will request additional ref money from Terry as needed.

 

  • Field Duty
    • Big thanks to Glenn Reed for painting all of our Soccer fields every week!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Communications Fred

  • Club Members should be checking our website frequently for the latest news.
  • We will be selling CSC Merchandise in the Snack Bar this Saturday
    • We will be selling Soccer Drawstring Bags, Jackets, and Chi Eagles Shirts
    • George is getting quotes for CSC Hoodies and Jackets
    • We are getting a quote for White T-Shirts with our Club Logo on Back and a custom screen on front (i.e. Soccer Mom, Soccer Dad, etc…) to be sold in the next couple weeks at the Snack Bar
  • Fred is looking for suggestions for the weekly Newsletter
  • Adding a section for Kelly (Kelly’s Corner) and Joe (Joe’s Coaching Tip of the Week)
