History of Chicago Clout BaseballThe Chicago Clout was formed in 1982 by 20 UIC alumni who wanted to keep life long friendships alive and wanted to keep playing a game that they all love. Now this 25-memberteam most of whom are UIC alumni have been taking the field for the past 26 years. The Chicago Clout has been playing in one of the most prestigious semi-professional leagues in the Midwest, the Skyscraper Baseball League. During the past 26 years the Chicago Clout has been one of the dominant teams since the league began. The Chicago Clout took their name from former name of the college baseball team, the "UIC Clout."
2001 NABF World Series Champs
In 2001 the Chicago Clout Baseball Team, won the National Amatuer Baseball Federation (NABF) Major Divsion World Series Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. Not only did the Chicago Clout make history by winning the World Series, but they become the first team from Illinois to win National Amatuer Baesball Federation Major Divsion since its inception in 1914. Before advancing to the NABF World Series, the Chicago Clout won the Midwest Regional in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by going 5-0. Also, in 2001 the Chicago Clout won the Skyscraper Baseball League Championship. The Chicago Clout finished their season with an overall record of 32-11.
