Sunday, April 6OUR TEAM
FALL 2009 - The Pride team has been practicing and participating in team sports conditioning throughout the season. Our team practiced weekly and attended Rapid Sports Performance training for team Strength and Conditioning twice a week until the spring season began. We played in the following tournaments during the fall but our main focus has been on strengthening our physical fitness and increasing our speed and agility. 14U GSA Tournament - Austell, Georgia on October 24th - The girls did extremely well in this tournament facing the bitter cold weather and achieving 3rd place in their first 14U tournament! Our second tournament of the season was 14 U Play to the End GSA Tournament - Terrell Mill Park, November 14th - 1st Place. The Pride had an awesome day competing in this tournament of five teams. They began the day with two wins, then were defeated in the third game. They didn't let this get them down and they came back to win the remainder of their games as well as defeat the team they had lost to previously two times to claim the championship trophy. Spring / Summer 2009 - We began our tournament play in March and attended the Second Annual Associations 'Pride Camp' in February. The girls played an exciting Spring and Summer of tournaments. Each tournament they played was a step up, they really brought on their competetive spirit game after game. With a little bit of encouragement and focus from the coaching staff, these girls stepped up in 2009 and showed how to battle on the softball field. We finished our season playing the USFA World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Fall 2008 - In our second Fall season of 12U most of the girls played on their Junior League or Metro League associated school teams. As a Pride team during the Fall season we played in two tournaments finishing 2nd place and 4th place.
