ISA Runner-up State
Our 95 Cherokee Pride White team finished 2nd (out of 17 teams)  in this past weekend's ISA STATE 12 B division.   We lost our first bracket game to the Collins Hill  Soaring Eagles on Saturday then won seven straight, including 6 straight elimination games on Sunday to get to the State Championship game.  In the championship, we were down 5-0 to Collins Hill after the 1st inning, and that score held up until the bottom of the 5th inning when the Eagles picked up another run to go up 6-0.  In the top of the 6th, the Pride came alive, getting 1 run on back to back hits.  Then, after a couple of outs, we were able to load the bases.  With 2 outs, Taylor Swaggerty hit a grandslam over the fence to cut the lead to 6-5, and we just fell short of a state championship.  It was an exciting finish to HOT weekend.
