LMSC Cheetahs Meeting June 9, 2009

Summer

• Practice Tuesday and Thursday 6:15-7:45pm at the Polo Field (see website for directions)
• Beginning July 7, Tuesday Practices is at the Shipley Lower School Turf Field
• Scrimmages against U12 ‘B’ LMSC, West Chester, TEYSA, Radnor (if we can) to prepare for 11 v 11
• Practice to prepare for first Tournament begins week of August 10th (ALL PLAYERS EXPECTED)
• Additional sessions possible to concentrate on conditioning/agility 2 weeks before Spirit United tournament

Fall

• Paul and I thought about inviting experienced coaches to train the girls once or twice a month during the fall and to expect additional cost associated with this training (estimated $150 per session=$10 per player)
• August 22 and 23 Spirit United Tournament Labor Day September 4-6 Ross Haney (NE Phila.)
• PAGS—Sunday games @ Polo??
• Practice: Monday and Thursday 6-7:30
• Daylight savings schedule: Thursday at Indoor facility and Saturday outdoor
• Columbus Day Tournament Oct 10-11—Cape May (email Biff about getting us in). Kirkwood Tournament backup if not accepted
• November Tournament—TBD (nothing for now)
• Application to Jefferson Cup March 2010 in Richmond, VA. TBD—December Registration Deadline

Winter

• Talk to Steve Frasier about Futsal league at EA to replace one practice day during the week Weekday futsol league in lieu of weekend indoor league at YSC, Starfinder or Far Post

Finances

• Expect $1500 for 10 month expenses (i.e. does not include summer training) includes coaches’ compensation/expenses, tournament/winter league fees, training facilities/rental fees, misc expenses.
• 3 assessments: July 1 ($650), Sept 1($450) and Dec 1 ($400)
• Fundraising or sponsorship may be necessary to support the team
• Soccer bags/back packs may be replaced ~$35-45. Team order will be placed within the next 2 weeks.
• Jersey numbers will be embroidered on the bags Team warmups or sweat shirts may purchased later in the year
