Marty Martinez U-12 & U-17 Girls

Marty Martinez, a native of New York, was at the helm of the University of Charleston mens' soccer program for seven years. Martinez had a record of 65-61-7 and won his first WVIAC Tournament Championship at the conclusion of the 2004-05 campaign. Coach Marty also helped to lead the Golden Eagles to a No. 12 ranking in the nation (2000). Marty coached for the WV Chaos PDL team 2002-2007, and UC from 2000-2007.

Coach Martinez was an assistant coach at Marshall University for two years prior to taking over the UC program. With collegiate playing experience under his belt from James Madison and the University of Maryland, Martinez was invited to try out with the MLS's Miami Fusion. Marty recently completed his fourth season as the head coach of the Chaos team. Two of Martys former UC players were featured on this year's squad: Stan Smith and Chad Duernberger. Martinez's hands-on coaching style and positive attitude make him a favorite among both players and fans.
