Welcome to the Cheyenne Central Women's Soccer website. We hope you enjoy your visit!
Cheyenne Central has been a perennial powerhouse in Wyoming High School Women's Soccer, regularly appearing in both the Regional and State tournaments. Cheyenne Central Women won the 2012 Wyoming State Championship with a 1-0 victory over the Sheridan Lady Broncs, after having last won it in 2007. The Lady Indians were semi-finalists in 2008 - 2011. The program will be once again returning a large number of players so we are looking forward to another successful year in 2013.
2013's regional alignment includes Central, East, Laramie, Campbell County, Sheridan, and Cheyenne South.
The Central Lady Indians are excited about the results of their 2012 season and the prospect of perhaps recapturing their title in another championship match in May 2013 in Rock Springs, WY. The coaches and the team are thrilled with the results of the 2012 season and are looking forward to the upcoming 2013 season and to building on the great accomplishments of the past few years.

Monday, June 3
End of year banquet is this Thursday, June 6th, at 6pm in the Central Commons. The organizers are requesting $15 per underclassman family as a donation toward senior gifts/videos/etc. Please contact Lisa Nordyke at 307.630.0382 with questions or if you would like to assist. Thanks in advance to all the parents involved in organizing the banquet. It will be a blast!
Tuesday, May 28
Don't forget to bring all your gear to turn it in at 3.30pm in the Fieldhouse on Wednesday, May 29th. Please be sure it is clean and neatly fold in your gear bag. Please empty your gearbags of grass and debris before putting your clean uniforms and warm ups in. The fine for not turning in your gear runs between $250-$300, depending on which team you were on. We would rather have the gear than your money :).
Friday, May 3
Due to the amount of snow on South's field the Varsity matches scheduled for today will now be played at Central HS on Riske Field. Girls will kick off at 5pm, Boys at 7pm. See you there!
Monday, April 29
In an effort to perhaps beat any bad weather that may be headed our way we are moving up the start time of both Varsity matches by 2 hours for tomorrow. Men will now play at 2pm at Riske, followed by the Women at 4pm. If you have any questions please contact Coach Foster.
Monday, April 22
First, our apologies for the chaos. Unfortunately, the spring weather is wrecking havoc on the season. Here is the plan for the week as of 1:00PM Monday (the 22nd):
Matches versus Laramie are now as follows:
Tuesday Apri 23rd - Girls Varsity at 4pm at Riske Field, followed by Boys Varsity at 6pm.
Wednesday April 24th - Boys and Girls JV vs. South at South. Boys at 3pm, Girls at 5pm. Kids will need to get themselves to the game just like we do when we play East.
Friday and Saturday - Girls Varsity and JV are in Sheridan and Gillette, respectively per the original schedule.
Monday, April 29th - C team vs. Torrington at Riske at 4pm is still on the schedule.
Thanks for bearing with us. This has been the most difficult weather I have had to deal with. Last year spoiled us.

Please keep Havley White of the Campbell County women's soccer team and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Havley suffered what may be a very serious injury today in their match in Laramie.

Friday, April 19
The snow isn't melting so we are officially cancelling the Saturday Varsity matches versus East. They will now be play on April 30th, Men at 4pm, Women at 6pm. We will announce the times of the C team and JV as soon as we have them. Thanks again for your patience. We share your frustration.
Thursday, April 18
The snow has wrecked havoc on our remaining schedule. Currently the Central vs. East Varsity matches are scheduled for Saturday. Men at Noon, Women at 2pm. If we are unable to play due to the snow then the matches will take place on April 30th at Riske, with Men at 4 and Women at 6pm. The entire schedule is very fluid so bear with us.
Friday, April 12
Today's matches versus Laramie are postponed to April 16th in Laramie at 3pm for JV and 5pm for Varsity, weather permitting (supposed to get snow again!). IF we are not able to play the 16th then we will play Laramie on 4/22, same times. Tomorrow's matches are as follows: Varsity women at Noon at Riske followed by the C team match versus Steamboat at 2pm. The JV match is on the reschedule list and we will advise once we have a date and time. Thanks for your understanding.
Wednesday, April 10
We will practice indoors today, Wednesday, April 10th from 6.30 - 8.00PM. Bring indoor shoes plus cleats. We may warm up on the turf field depending on the amount of snow.
Tuesday, April 9
In the interest of everyone's safety all practices for Tuesday, April 9, 2013 are canceled. Please drive carefully as you go home. There are white out and near white out conditions in the county (I found myself driving on the wrong side of the road due to no visibility!) so please be safe. We will see you tomorrow at 6.30pm in the Fieldhouse for practice.
Tuesday, March 12
Unfortunately the snow didn't melt so we will practice indoors again from 6.15pm to 8.15pm at the Field House. Still bring cleats to practice as we are going to warm up outside on Riske and try to break up the snow so it will melt by tomorrow afternoon.

Monday, March 11
Practice for Monday, March 11th is being moved indoors to the Central Fieldhouse from 6:20PM - 8:00PM. Be sure to bring indoor shoes.
Friday, March 8
We will practice on Saturday, March 9th, from 9:00 - 10:30AM in the Central Field House. You must be at this practice to play in our matches on Thursday, March 14th, against Thompson Valley.
Monday, March 4
Due to snow and the forecasted strong winds we are going to go ahead and move practice indoors tonight from 6:15PM to 8:00PM in the Central Field House. Please be sure to bring indoor appropriate shoes and clothing. If you have any questions contact Coach Foster or Coach Booth.
Thursday, February 28
The Cheyenne Central HS women's soccer program is pleased to announce the addition of Coach Jeff Norman to the coaching staff. Jeff brings a wealth of playing experience to the program and we are excited for the contributions he will be able to offer to the program in the coming years.
Jeff played club and high school ball in his native Washington. His high school team was state semi-finalist his first three years and champions in his senior year. When Jeff isn't coaching soccer he works as the sophomore counselor at Central HS. Welcome Coach Norman!
Monday, February 25
If you or anyone you know is interested in playing soccer for Central HS this spring then plan on attending a player meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in the West Pod at 3.20PM. The meeting will be brief, less than 20 minutes, and will cover practice schedules and what to expect in the 2013 season. Please share this information. Come be a part of a winning tradition!
Sunday, February 10
The Lady Indian Women's Soccer 2013 season begins March 4, 2013 at 3.45pm. Location will be announced shortly. You must have a physical prior to practicing so be sure to get that now if you have not participated in a fall or winter sport. You must have 9 practices to play in the first match on March 14, 2013. We will only have 9 practices prior to the first match so you cannot miss a practice in order to play that season opening match on the new Riske Field. If you have any questions you can contact Coach Foster or Coach Booth, or the Central HS Athletic Director, Mr. Whitworth.
Tuesday, January 15
Open gym for January 16, 2013 is canceled due to schedule conflicts with in-season sports. We will try again for January 23, 2013 at 8pm in the Fieldhouse.
Saturday, January 12
Open gym for Central Women's Soccer will start up on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 8pm in the Central Fieldhouse, and then each Wednesday thereafter. Bring appropriate shoes and a friend. Time to get ready for the 2013 season and another shot at winning state.
Wednesday, December 19
No Open Gym tonight, Wednesday, December 19th due to the very cold temperatures and the poor driving conditions. Stay home and stay warm! Have a wonderful Christmas holiday and we will see you in 2013! The Coaches

Wednesday, November 28
Central Women's Soccer will hold 3 open gym sessions prior to the Christmas break. We will have open gym on December 5th, 12th, and 19th from 8:45pm until 10pm. The Lady Indians capped off a great season with a 1-0 victory over the Sheridan Lady Broncs, the heavy favorites to win. Madi Barber scored the lone goal with a well struck PK to the back of the net. Well done Ladies!
