Bell County High School

The high school is right next to Highway 25-e on the side of Log Mountain. The middle school is across the street. There is a walking bridge between the two schools so look for that as you come into the area. Basically just go north on Broadway on Highway 33 until you get to Tazewell. Stay straight on 25-E when it comes in (33 goes ot the right) and in about 25 miltes the high school will be on the right (approximately 8 miles past Middlesboro). Bill also says that there are lots of restaurants on 25-E if you are looking for somewhere to eat either before or after the game. Check the Announcements Page for a listing of the restaurants and their general location.

Take I-40W to Nashville/Lebanon and exit onto 840W; Take Murfreesboro/Smyrna (US-41S/ 70S) exit 55A; Merge onto US-41S/ 70S (Broad Street). Drive 4.5 miles and turn left onto W. Main Street, proceed through the town square to E. Main Street. Proceed on E. Main Street, cross Tennessee Blvd., and take the first left onto Old Main Circle. This MTSU entrance is approximately 1.5 miles from the Broad Street turnoff.

Rhea County High School
There are two routes.
1.Take I-40 West toward Nashville. Take exit ramp 347 (Harriman-Rockwood). Turn left onto Hwy 27 (S. Roane St.)toward Rockwood. Continue to follow Hwy 27 through Rockwood and Spring City about 32 miles to Evensville, TN which is about 7 miles south of Spring City. There are signs for the school on the hwy. Just before you turn off there is a business that sells trailers (don't know it's name) on the right and there will be a BP station on the left. The turn off is on the right about 150 yards past the trailer business. The school is about 400 yards down Eagle Lane on the left. The stadium is on Eagle Lane also. If you miss the turn off, the next road on the right is Pierce Road which also runs by the other side of the school. The office staff at Rhea County High School said that this is the route that they prefer because most of Hwy. 27 is four-laned from Rockwood with only a small portion of two lane in Spring City. Be advised that there are 15 traffic lights in Rockwood and they cheerfully ticket speeders. Mapquest rates this route as 76.43 miles from CHS with driving time of 1 hour, 43 minutes.
2. The alternate route is almost the same exact mileage but a greater portion is on two lane highway but does not go through any small towns until you arrive at Evensville. Take I-75 South towards Chattanooga. Take Exit 60 to TN-Hwy 68, (Sweetwater, Spring City). Turn right onto TN-68 N (Lost Sea Pike). Follow TN-68 for 23 miles. Turn left onto Hwy. 27 and go 6 miles. See the first set of directions for turnoffs from Hwy. 27. RCHS staff says that all of Hwy 68 is two lane which means that you gamble on how well the traffic is moving in front of you. Mapquest actually rates this route as 10 minutes faster although two miles farther than the I-40 Rockwood route.
