Tuesday, October 20 Congratulations Fall Ball Champs!!! Central Falls Minor League took the Winning title in the Fall Ball Season this year! They ended up with a 9:3 record claiming the victory in the end. The Minor League was faced with 3 games against Fairlawn winning 2 of the 3, 3 games against NP East 2 winning all three, 2 games against NP East 1 winning both, and finally 4 games against NP West, winning 2 of the 4. In the end they had 2 losses to North Providence West and 1 loss to Fairlawn.
All in all, it was a great Fall Ball Season of Baseball. All the kids had a great time and all the winning helped!! It's been a long time since CF can feel good about our standing in a season...and thanks to our Minor League we made it to the top!!! Way to go Central Falls Minor League.

2010 CFLL Board Members
We'd like to extend our congratulations to the following people for making the cut as the new CFLL Board of directors:
President- Tanya Montalvo aka Coach Tanya, mother of Ralique & Raevaughn of "MGM" Realty LL Team. She has managed MGM for the past 3 years and has been a member of the CFLL board for about 5 years now. Tanya started out way back in about 2001 as a T-Ball assistant. From there she took on her first Minor League team and progressed through the years coaching her childrens' teams. She has held Board positions such as Commissioner, Manager's Rep., Secretary, and Vice-President. Today, she is honored to take on the task ahead as CFLL's newest President.
Vice-President- Justin Acosta aka Coach Justin, father of Preston (Minor Leaguer), Sierra (CF Panther's Cheerleader and future Minor Leaguer) and twins, Chloe & Cole (future T-Ballers). Justin has coached in CFLL for the past 2 years and served on the Board of Directors as Manager's Representative. Today he accepts the challenge as CFLL's newest Vice-President.
Treasurer- Diane Tougas aka Dee, has not had children in the league for some time now. However her children Joe Tougas now a CF Police Officer grew up in the league as well as his sister, Kristen, currently still in college also played in the league as a child. Dee has served the CFLL for many years and we hope to be blessed to have her for many more! Today she is re-elected as CFLL's newest Treasurer.
Safety Director- Matthew Netto aka Coach Matt has no children and was a new addition to the legue in the 2009 season. Matt comes to us from Lincoln and we are glad to have him. Today he is elected as CFLL's newest Safety Officer.
Manager's Representative- Warren Smith aka Coach Warren, father of Warren jr. aka Bubba (Minor Leaguer) also step-father to Joshua of "Dexter Credit" LL Team 2009 City Champs. Warren has been with the league for a few years now and Manages the CFLL "Firefighter's" ML team. Today he is eager to take on the task of Manager's Representative.
Player Agent- Steven Beaucage aka Coach Steve, father of Steven "Wyatt Detention Center" Senior League, Sterling "Dexter Credit" LL Team 2009 City Champs, and Styles (Non Player). Steve manages the 2009 CFLL City Champions, Dexter Credit Union LL Team. Today he is optimistic about his position as CFLL's newest Player Agent.
Equipment Manager- Henry Gardner aka Coach Henry, father of Tyler & Ryan, "MGM Realty" LL team. Henry Started in the league as a Coach in Minor League about 5 years back. Henry has been on the Board of Directors as Equipment Manager. Today he is happy to be re-elected as CFLL's newest Equipment Manager.
T-Ball Director- Robert Hunter aka Coach Rob, step father of Marcel (Minor Leaguer) & Shawn (future T-Baller) Rob came to us in the 2009 season as an assistant Minor League Coach. Today Rob takes on his task with zeal as CFLL's newest T-Ball Director.
Commissioner- Lisa Blangeard, fiance of Coach Justin, mother of twins, Chloe & Cole (future T-Ballers) step Mother of Preston (Minor League) & Sierra (CF Panther's Cheerleader and future Minor Leaguer). Lisa is anxious to take on her task as CFLL's newest Commissioner.
Monday, June 15 Congratulations to the 13 Little Leaguers that made the All Star Team! Special Congratulations goes out to the following players for making the 2009 CFLL All Star Team: MGM Realty: Angelo, Arnold, Cristian V., David, Ralique, & Tyler. Dexter Credit Union: Enmanuel, Jorge, & Wesley. Courts Sporting Goods: Cristian, Dakota, Exander, & Steven

First practice will be held on Wed, June 17 at 5pm at the LL field please be on time! Wednesday, June 17 McCoy honors CFLL players Ralique (MGM Realty) & Jonathan (Navigant) will both be receiving plaques at McCoy Stadium on Saturday, August 27, 2009 for their superb performances at the Pitch, Hit & Run competitions. Congratulations to them both for doing a great job! Both winners have also received complimentary tickets to watch the game after the festivities. Congratulations to the winners of the annual Pitch, Hit, & Run competition. The following players made it to the Statewide Finals held at McCoy Stadium on Saturday, May 23, 2009:

WAY TO GO! WAY TO GO! WAY TO GO! All players did very well, unfortunately there were so many competitors, we are thankful to have made it this far!! Wednesday, June 17 Dexter Credit Union takes the City Championship What an awesome season of LL baseball we had this year! The teams were competitively matched and every game was extremely interesting. But when push came to shove it was Dexter Credit that took First place in both the regular season and playoffs! Coach Steve did an awesome job leading them to victory. MGM Realty came very close to taking it making for a spectacular game of baseball! Way to Go Dexter Credit!!! Congratulations on a well played season! |
