Catch & Go Flag Football: CG 2009 National Tournament

Registration:  Registration deadline is June 10, 2009. Registrations may be accepted after the deadline for a $30 late registration fee. Registration can be completed online, or sent by mail to: 1513 W. Las Lomas Street, Yuma, AZ 85364. All players will be required to show proof of age at sign-in, using an original/copy of their birth certificate.

Divisions of Play: This tournament is open to all teams in the 9-11 and 12-14 age divisions. The date used to determine eligibility is September 1, 2008. We have recently changed this date due to multiple requests.

Format: This tournament is 5-on-5.  All teams will participate in round robin play, and a double-elimination bracket.

Rules: Catch & Go Flag Football's rules will be used, which are derived from NFL FLAG rules.

Game Dates/Times: The tournament is scheduled to run from Friday evening (6/19/2009) to Saturday night (6/20/2009). Games will be played in the mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and under the lights from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This will also be determined by the amount of teams participating.

Location of Fields: The playing fields are located at the Yuma First Assembly of God, 3000 S. Avenue B, Yuma and Kennedy Memorial Park (soccer fields), 23rd Street/Kennedy Lane, Yuma. Below are directions to the fields from the hotels.

Hotels: We have partnered with P.R. Normandale Hotels LLC., which includes the Holiday INN, Holiday INN Express, and Candlewood Suites. County 10th Street, Yuma. The Yuma Fun Factory isn't fully operational yet, but it does currently have a large arcade, bar, and go-karts.

Game Schedules/Tournament Brackets

All teams will play two (2) pool play games on Friday night and start the double elimination tournament on Saturday morning. Results from pool play will determine seeding for the tournament brackets.

Check-In Procedures

All Head Coaches need to check-in with the required paperwork and birth certificates prior to being eligible for their first game. Check-in will be held from 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express conference room, 2044 S. Avenue 3E, Yuma (map).
