Tee Ball Supplements 2008

Tee Ball Supplement Fall 2008

The primary purpose of Tee Ball at Casselberry Little League is to help new players learn fundamentals, discipline and teamwork. The major emphasis is for the players to have fun and enjoy the game. By the end of the season, players should have a firm foundation of these concepts, which can then be expanded on in later years. With this in mind, the following are rules that are unique to the CLL T -Ball league.

There will be no score kept in games. There is to be no emphasis on winning or competitiveness at this level.

v It is recommended that a game consist of one (1) hour to 1 hour 15 minutes of play with each team having an equal number of at bats.

v An inning will end when all players in the batting order have batted, regardless the number of outs.  (* Players must use the T for the Entire Season – No Coach Pitch Transition Allowed.

v Coaches of both teams are asked to stay on the field at all times (i.e. the defensive coaches in the field with the defensive team, the offensive coaches with their team at bat and base coaching).

v Every player will play in the field. Set a normal infield and spread the remaining players across the outfield (make sure both infield and outfield stay back at normal depths).

v Runners will only advance one base per at bat with the exception of a home run (over the fence) or the last batter.

v Players must be rotated to different positions every inning so that each player will experience all positions through the course of the year.  However, please consider the safety implications of allowing lower skilled players to play 1st base or the pitcher position.

v Please, inform the coach of the defensive team of any better hitters so that players can be positioned in a safe manner.

v Good sportsmanship is expected from all players, coaches and spectators. We would like all coaches to umpire at least 2 games this season.

·         There is absolutely NO SLIDING ALLOWED, if you slide your out.

·         Throw the ball to 1st base, no tagging
