The Angels were very excited when Cal Ripken came to the field in the 2nd inning and sat in the stands with our fans while watching the game. Mr. Ripken was very nice. He spoke to our fans the entire time he was there (until the 6th inning) and even posed for a picture (I'll put it in our album). Several of the siblings and parents were able to get autographs as well.
The Angels would like to thank the Wilmington Sharks for coming to the game and cheering us on. Congratulations Sharks on your 4th place finish and being given the "Sportsmanship" award.
Also thank-you to players from the Aces, GBC Team Acceleration and Team Mizuno for your words of encouragement!
And one more thank-you! To all of our parents, grandparents, siblings and just plain ole friends.....We had a great showing of support the entire week and even more for the Championship game. Several people got up early Friday morning and drove to Myrtle Beach just to cheer us on. WE THANK-YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR DEDICATION!!!!!
