WOW, What a weekend! The Angels were bouncing between Kernersville and Greensboro this weekend for the USSSA NC Central State Championships. The Angels played Friday and Saturday nights and again during the day on Sunday.

September 10, 2005 USSSA Carolina / Virginia Classic
The 12U Carolina Angels were in Kernersville this weekend for the USSSA Carolina / Virginia Classic. The Angels played on Saturday at 2:30pm and 6:30pm on field #3. On Sunday the Angels moved to Springwood Park in Burlington and played at 12:30 and 2:30pm. Thank-you to all who came out to Beeson Park and Springwood Park to cheer on the Carolina Angels!

The Carolina Angels were in Kernersville at Beeson park this weekend playing in the USSSA October Fest III. The Angels won 2 of 3 in the tournament. Great job Angels. We're coming together nicely. Mr. Wells said it perfectly: The team played with a lot of heart on Sunday!

12U Carolina Angels Golf Tournament
WHAT FUN WE HAD!
The Carolina Angels hosted their first golf tournament October 22nd at Pine Tree Golf Course in Kernersville. The tournament started at 1:00pm with 14 and 1/2 teams participating (Thank-you teams!!!). After finishing the game, each player was served a delicious dinner at the club shelter. All players who stayed for dinner went home with a prize. All prizes were donated by a local merchant listed below.

The Carolina Angels were in Burlington this weekend at Springwood Park playing in the Halloween Havoc IV. The Angels played well on Saturday, but the Sunday curse brought them home once again.

11/5-6 Myrtle Beach - Quest for the Best
The Carolina Angels were in Myrtle Beach,SC this weekend for the Quest for the Best tournament. This was the final tournament for the fall season. The weather was a warm 80 degrees with slight wind. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend on and off of the field!!!!!
GAME #1 Caroina Angels (7) vs. Pro Level Angels - 11U (4) - WINNING PITCHERS: Jacob Watts and Brandon Gray
This was a tough game from the start. This well coached 11 year old team had it all! Both teams remained scoreless in the 1st inning. In the 2nd inning, Pro Level got 1 run and the Angels scored 2. In the 3rd, we stayed 2-1. In the 4th, the Pro Level Angels gave us a scare by scoring 3 runs. This made the score 4-2, Pro Level. The Angels couldn't produce in the bottom of the 4th. The Angels held the Pro Level team in the 5th. Our Angels got busy scoring and put 5 runs on the board. The Carolina Angels led 7-4 going into the 6th inning. The Carolina Angels shut them down in the 6th, giving us the win!
GAME #2 Carolina Angels (18) vs. Charleston Braves (0) - WINNING PITCHER: Matt Rembielak
This was one of our few boring games of the Fall Season! The Angels jumped ahead 4-0 in the first inning. The Braves couldn't score on us. In the 2nd, the Angels turned it on. We scored 11 runs!!!!! The Braves once again scored 0. In the 3rd, we let up some and only scored 3. Final score 18-0 Angels. Nice first time showing for Matt on the mound.
GAME #3 Carolina Angels (8) vs. Pro Level Angels - 11U (7) - WINNING PITCHERS: Brandon Gray, Jared Gesell and Jason Smith
WOW......that's the only way to put it. Once again, the Pro Level team gave us a huge fight. Pro Level jumped ahead in the first 2-0. The Angels held them in the 2nd, but the Angels also couldn't score. In the 3rd, the Pro Level Team added another run to the score. The Angels held them in the 4th, but once again, the Angels scored none. Score after 4 innings: Pro Level - 3 Angels - 0. Scary times in the 5th for the Angels. Time is running out on this game. A sixth inning will not be played unless we end the 5th in a tie. The Pro Level team came out in the top of the 5th and scored 4 runs. They were leading the Angels 7-0 going to the bottom of the 5th. Our rally caps came out and our bats caught fire! The Angels scored 8 runs in this inning including a GRAND SLAM HOMERUN by Jacob Watts to get the win and advance to the Championship Game - GO ANGELS!
GAME #4 Carolina Angels (3) vs. Low Country Tigers (0) - WINNING PITCHER: Jason Smith
And we thought someone would never score! In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd innings the scored remained tied 0-0. Finally in the 4th, the Angels scored 1 run. In the 5th, the Angels added 2 more. The Angels held the Tigers to 0 in the 6th and won the Quest for the Best Tournament! CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS......What a way to end the season!!!!!
