Great effort by the Angels, especially on Saturday. We showed we could hang with the 12 year olds. How many times do you see an 11U pitcher(Brandon Gray) and 1st baseman (Austin Sawyer) pick off 12 year olds 4 times in one game? You would think they'd catch on a little quicker! My favorite is the one where the pitcher for The Perfect Game got hurt on the rundown (he was safe) and they put in a runner for him. As soon as that guy took a step, BOOM, you're out of there. Pick-off at 1st.
And lets not forget the GREAT catch by our centerfielder(Garrett Motsinger). That should be on the highlight reel.
I'm very proud of all the Angels for their hard work on the field. Let's have a great practice on Tuesday and Thursday, and go down to Concord ready to win this weekend!
