Welcome to Care Runners!
Several friends decided to get together to run in the Country Music Marathon April 24, 2010 in Nashville, TN to raise money for the following charities:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (http://lls.org)
Camp Laurel (http://camplaurel.org)
and
Camp Tatanka (http://camptatanka.org)
Runners AND WALKERS of ALL abilities are welcome to join us. Most of us are running or walking in the half-marathon, though I know of at least three people contemplating the full marathon. Even if you are a couch potato, you can do this with us! Come on out and have some fun for a great cause! As an added incentive, there are a couple of "celebrities" planning to run with our group. I promise if you come you will have a blast!! ALSO - even if you don't want to run or walk, come down to Nashville for the weekend and join in the fun anyway! You can be our cheering section! We plan to have an unofficial class reunion while we are there, since it will be the first time many of us have seen each other since graduation.
Each of us who is already registered or committed to running/walking in this event has a direct connection to one or more of these organizations. This started out as an idea of something fun to do to reconnect with some friends and turned into a HUGE plan to raise money and have some major fun at the same time! We're now running for Kara, for my mom, for Sara's dad, for some friends, and so many others! We're working on a website for our group for this run as well, so stay tuned for more information!

We are going to work on group hotel blocks and transportation in exchange for you agreeing to raise some money for these great charities!!
