Summer Camp Dates....Golf Outing Fundraiser Postponed new date TBA
Summer Mini Camp Dates Announced:
The Canfield Hockey coaches will be conducting a summer camp June 21,22, and 23. Participants will have :30 mins to :45 mins of off ice condtioning, and 1 1/2 hours of ice time each night. Goalies will have drills for :30 mins of each session on ice to concentrate on specific skills. Individual skills will be worked on for forwards/defensmen along with skating drills. The cost will be $75 with profits going towards next seasons hockey fees. All questions can be directed to Coach Emery: remery44@sbcglobal.net. Checks should be made payable to: Canfield Hockey Boosters. The camp is open to developmental players and varsity players from Canfield.
The Camp may be opened up to outside of Canfield players should the need exist.
Camp Agenda:
Thursday June 21 : Off Ice 4:30, on ice 5:30-7p.m.
Friday June 22 : Off ice 4:30 pm, on ice 5:15-6:45pm
Saturday June 23: Off ice 9am, on ice 10am-11:30am
Picnic 1PM (Place To Be Announced)
Canfield Hockey Hosts Golf Outing
The Canfield Hockey Boosters will be hosting a golf outing fund raiser, with a new date to be announced. Food and refreshments will be provided, along with a raffle. The cost is $240 for foursome, and a scramble format will take place. Hole sponsors are $100.

Hockey at Canfield!

The Canfield Cardinals Varsity hockey is in its 13th year as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The Cardinals also are a member of the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League Blue East Division, along with Cleveland Heights, CVCA, North Canton Hoover, Chagrin Falls, Aurora, and Nordonia.
The team has been in existence since 1997, when Dave DeJoe became the first head coach of the "club" team. In 2000-2001 the team was a provisional member of the GCHSHL and eligible for the state playoffs. Joe Villano followed Dave DeJoe as head coach and remained for 5 years until the 2006-07 campaign. The team's third head coach is Randy Emery. Gerry Emery is the developmental team head coach. Paul Barnes and Joe Villano are assistant varsity coaches.
The Canfield Varsity and Developmental teams are self supported and operate through funds raised by the Canfield Hockey Boosters. President Barry Tancer begins his third year as board head. Hockey booster vice president is John Fernstrom, Treasurer Dr. John Clendenin, and Secretary Barb Drotleff.
The Cardinal teams play home games at the Ice Zone in Boardman, Ohio.
