Sunday, February 17 MS wrestlers qualify for State Tournament -- ** Click here for the brackets Congratulations go out to MS wrestlers Tyler Jenkins (108 lbs), Dalton Tullius (120 lbs) and Nick Brady (90 lbs) who placed at the Southeast District Tournament held at Ohio University on Feb 17th. Jenkins (3rd place), Tullius (4th place) and Brady (5th place) are now qualified for the Junior High State Championships held on the weekend of March 14th-16th at Ohio University. Good luck guys!! Saturday, February 9 CW Middle School wrestlers place 9 at league tourney - 2/9/08 The CW Middle School wrestlers had a great day at the inaugural Mid State League Buckeye Division tournament. The squad placed 9 wrestlers in the top four and captured four championships. Congratulations!! Results:
80: Emmons - Champion Thursday, February 7 Middle School wrestlers win 1st League Championship - 2/07/08 The Canal Winchester Middle School wrestling team captured its first Mid State League Buckeye Division championship. The squad finished with a record of 6-1 in league action to share the crown with Teays Valley. Congratulations to the coaches and all the wrestlers.......great job! Jesse Osborne raised his season record to 9-0 while winning the 172 pound class, while fellow tri-captains Tyler Jenkins and Dalton Tullius won the 104 and 116 pound classes respectively. Also taking first was 86 pounder Nick Brady. 142 pounder Michael Randolph finished 2nd, losing a 14-13 decison in the finals.
