The Host Committee for the CIBC Wood Gundy 2008 Canadian Masters Curling Championships is delighted to announce the return of last years presenting sponsor, the Asham World Curling Tour. This national curling event for competitors sixty years of age and over is scheduled to take place in Nanaimo, BC from March 31 to April 6, 2008. Both mens and womens winners from the ten provinces and three territories in Canada are eligible to take part in the highest level of competition for that age group. Title sponsor spokesperson Nathan Thornton, Branch Manager and Investment Advisor for CIBC Wood Gundy in Nanaimo stated, "This is an exciting event, not only for the Nanaimo Curling Club, but for the entire community. We are thrilled to play a part in bringing some of the top curlers in Canada to our city." Paul Boutilier, Asham World Curling Tour Executive Director, said, On behalf of the Asham WCT and Capital One Grand Slam of Curling, we are pleased to assist the continued development of the Masters level within our sport.
