2014 Kobie Pettis verbaled to play softball at University of California- Berkeley
I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to Cal. I chose Cal because of the outstanding education and competitive softball program. The chemistry between the players and coaches is exceptional. I am looking forward to being a part of their successful program. I had other interest from Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Boise State, and Sac State. Nevertheless, I chose to make my final committment to Cal. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to my years at Cal. (GO BEARS)

I am happy to announce that I have decided to attend the University of Virginia, founded by our 3rd President Thomas Jefferson. I chose the University of Virginia because it has very high academic standards, a beautiful campus, and is full of rich history you don’t get at other schools. I really am looking forward to experiencing life outside of California and on the East Coast. UVA has everything I’ve been looking for in a university. The coaches are very welcoming and their softball program competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. After touring their campus and facilities, I knew this was the university for me. I can’t wait to become a Cavalier! Other colleges with interest: UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, University of the Pacific, Tennessee, Louisville, University of Hawaii, Sacramento State, New Mexico State, Texas Tech, & University of Pitt.

2012 Ashley Smith signed to play softball at Tallahassee
TCC,here I come! I am so excited to announce that I ,Ashley Smith has committed to Tallahassee Community College. From the moment I stepped on Tallahassee's campus, I knew it was the ONE! Not only were coaches extremely welcoming but their facilities were mind blowing! I chose this school because I knew it would be an amazing stepping stone and a fantastic opportunity I couldn't pass up. I'm really excited to see TCC guide me to my fullest potential.

UC Davis competes in the Big West Conference. I chose UC Davis because to me, it has everything you could want in a college. Great academics, Division 1 softball, and a beautiful campus. From the very first time I stepped foot on the campus I knew that was where I wanted to be. The coaches were so welcoming and the players all got along so well. I can't wait to spend my next four years at such a great school and I am so excited to become an Aggie!

2012 Paris Andrew signed to play softball at University Purdue
I am excited to announce that I have verbally committed to play softball at Purdue University! Purdue is everything I had hoped to find in a university…an outstanding school that is committed to excellence in both academics and athletics. I look forward to pursuing my degree in education while competing in the Big Ten Conference. During my recent visit, I was very impressed with everyone I met, especially Coach Maher and her staff. They are awesome! The campus and community felt like home and I knew Purdue was the place I wanted to attend. I look forward to calling Purdue my college home! GO BOILERS!

2012 Erica Musgrave signed to play softball at Saint Mary's College
I chose Saint Mary’s because the school met my hopes of being both strong academically and having a solid softball program. The school has a beautiful campus with a nice community atmosphere. Saint Mary’s has a great math program, and a unique approach to delivering their education curriculum.
Saint Mary’s plays in the West Coast Conference, and they are very competitive in their conference. I am very excited to become a Gael!
My other choices were University of San Diego, Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly San Louis Obispo, Lehigh, Bucknell, Colgate.

2012 Kortney Solis signed to play softball at Sacramento State
I chose Sacramento State over other opportunities presented to me such as DePaul, New Mexico, Penn State and Fresno State. Seeing many college recruiters was very interesting and exciting in the So Cal, New Jersey, Florida, and Colorado tournaments. Prior to my visit to Sacramento State, I read the coaches bios to give me a little insight on who they are. Their experience and knowledge of the game is tremendous. On my visit made me love the campus and the environment even more. Seeing their softball field and stepping on the dirt made me wish that, I was a senior this year preparing for college. GO HORNETS!

2012 Shelby Gill signed to play softball at Academy Of Art University In San Francisco
California Grapette Gold coaches Pete Aguayo & Dennis Gomes are very proud to announce 2012 pitcher Shelby Gill has verbally committed to attend and play softball for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Shelby accepted the offer while on an unofficial visit 7/8/10.
I could not be happier, said Shelby; the Academy of Art is one of the top schools in the nation for my field and my number one choice of schools to attend. I felt an immediate comfort level with the coaches.
Their enthusiasm and focus made the decision an easy one. This is the perfect fit for me and I cannot wait to join the Urban Knights.
