First step on the Road to Williamsport and the Little League World Series
Welcome to California District 38, where everyone makes a team and everyone plays. We offer Baseball, Softball and Challenger Programs for children ages 4 to 18. No one cares more about your child than we do. If your childs dream is to play in the Little League World Series then they must play Little League Baseball. There are other programs but most end at the completion of the regular season. District 38 competed in 33 post season tournaments this year, with most of our players competing in at least one of them. The road to Williamsport is a long one that starts at the League and District level and advances to Section, Division, Region and then to Williamsport. Good Luck and have a safe, fun and rewarding season.

California law mandates that all coaches must receive training on concussions. The training may be fulfilled through the free, online course available through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). All managers, coaches, team moms and others who will be working with the team are required to complete this course prior to beginning practice with their teams.
Click the link below, then click on the Order Course button under the Concussion in Sports headline. You will have to register using your email address, and after a somewhat involved registration process can eventually order the training course.
Upon completion of the course download and print the certificate of completion. The certificate of completion should be available for Little League officials for various events.
Additionally, on a yearly basis, a concussion and head injury information sheet shall be signed and returned by the athlete's parent or guardian before the athlete's initiating practice or competition. The following documents are provided to meet this requirement:
Safety class certifications are good for three years, i.e if you attended class in 2015, 2016 your certification is valid for 2017. If your certificate is from a year prior to 2015 then it is no longer valid. Rosters of the Saftey Classes conducted by District 38 in 2014, 2015 and 2016 can be viewed in the Handouts section.

Thanks to all of you that took the time to put our players first. With Safety First in our District it is great to see this kind of turn out. This coupled with the 374 from last year and the 326 from the year before puts 1016 of our volunteers trained and ready to protect our players. You not only make it safer for our players but help keep the insurance costs down for your League and District.
A GREAT BIG THANK-YOU TO ALL

Your kid is good, right? Really good? You don’t want to brag, but he can do some things on the field that other kids his age won’t even try. You played a little ball yourself, and you know the difference…. Read entire story here
