Welcome to the site of the California Cruisers 18Gold

The California Cruisers Organization is dedicated to the advancement of our players both as student athletes and also as young ladies. The Cruisers Organizational goal is to teach our players important life lessons through the game of softball. The California Cruisers are committed to playing at the highest level. Our number one goal each year is to win Nationals. The Cruiser players are committed to continually developing their skills, contributing to our number one goal, and progressing to the collegiate level. Aligned with these goals are the staffs mission of providing the best in: DEVELOPMENT, EXPOSURE and COMPETITION.

DEVELOPMENT: The staff is committed to developing the total softball player. Every player works on skill development in hitting, fielding, base running and mental approach. The expectation is that even the highly skilled player will improve greatly.

EXPOSURE: The California Cruisers play in many high exposure showcase tournaments each year. Our staff members have numerous personal relationships with many of the top college programs in the Nation and a have a reputation of providing those colleges with top-notch recruits. The Cruisers are always playing on the main fields.

COMPETITION: The Cruisers consistently finish near the top in competitive tournaments. In the last nine years at ASA Nationals the Cruisers have one 1st place finish, three 2nd place finishes, and one 3rd place finish. The Cruisers finished in 7th place at the last two Gold Nationals (2008 & 2009). The California Cruisers are one of only four Gold teams that have never failed to qualify for Nationals, also included in that achievement are the OC Batbusters, the So Cal Athletics and the Corona Angeles. The Cruisers have only finished lower than 10th one time in our long history. The ONLY team to hold that honor. In the prestigious Louisville Slugger Boulder tournament the California Cruisers are Two Time Champions with four Championship Game appearances. The Cruisers also have won the Champions Cup in 2004 and again in 2006

The last seven Cruiser teams have produced 57 Division I college players, including 20 to the Pac-10. Twenty-nine of the 57 players started as freshman. Texas, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, Fresno State, Florida, and Houston are some of the excellent college softball programs represented by our program in addition to Pac-10 programs such as UCLA, Stanford, Arizona State, Arizona, Stanford, Washington and Cal Berkeley. California Cruisers achievements include 7 All Conference players, 4 All Area players and 2 All Americans and two players who contributed to wining the College World Series. A total of 6 Crusiers have played in the College World Series. Most of all we take pride in knowing that over 95% of Cruiser players graduate from the colleges by which they were recruited. Former California Cruiser Lauren Lappin was an alternate on the 2004 USA Olympic team and was a member of the 2008 team that won a Silver Medal. Former California Cruiser Lindsey Sisk played for the USA JR National team in 2007 and won a Gold medal.
