California Thunder '96 is a class "A" girls fastpitch travel softball organization.  The Cal Thunder organization is committed to teaching and developing the skills necessary to succeed at the collegiate level. 

The Cal Thunder organization consists of two 18 gold teams who are "GOLD" qualified under the new 2009 ASA rule, two 14U teams ('95 and '96) and one 12U team. The goal of every team within the Cal Thunder organization is to qualify for, and play in the ASA National Tournament.

The Cal Thunder organization is under the direction and guidance  of VALERIE VANKIRK, a former ASA All American/Hall of Famer and Cal State Fullerton National Champion. 

CAL THUNDER '96 has a berth to the 2010 USA/ASA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT!!!!

12/08 - AFA Toys For Tots - 1st Place

3/09 - USSSA Luck O' Irish - 1st Place

4/09 - Fresno Force Classic - T/3rd (semi finalist)

5/09 - ASA State Championships - T/13th

7/09 - ASA Western Nationals - 2nd (2010 USA/ASA Qualified)

12/09 - JYNX Toys for Tots - Semi Finalist

First Place At The October 2008 TCS Border Championship (A Div) in Bullhead City, Arizona!!!
