At the end of the year I would like to acknowledge the efforts done by the players, the parents,the staff, and last but not least Mr. Sherif Abo Zeid the director of tennis in Tawfikeya club.
The year 2003 was a good year for our players,especially Mohamed Azzab who won a title and finished the year in the top 16 under 12,Hossam El Meligy who had a great season this year improving his ranking 15 places and recording wins on lots of higher ranked players, Mohamed El Ziady who is going to start the new season in the top 16, Kamal Hisham who is hot on Ziady's heels in the ranking although it's his first year,Kamel Milad who started to live up to his talent reaching second round of the year ending Nationals,Salma El Tokhey who won the National Preparatory Schools Championship, Karim Hossam the 10 year old who is a regular face in the finals of under 10 tournaments,& Dina Farouk the 13 year old who won a title under 16 in addition to few finals and semi final appearences

Player of the month of December 2002 goes to Kamal Hisham for his effort in training which was rewarded by his semifinal appearence in the under 10 National Tournament in Gezira Club. Kamal won 3 matches on his way to the semis his toughest match was against Amr Elhamshary, the left handed Ahly player. Kamal's game is built on solid groundstrokes , an efficient serve ,good court coverage and sound tactics. But his real weapon is his concentration skill both in practice and in matches.

Congratulations on a job well done
Aya Elakkad won player of the month award for her outstanding performance during December 2001 where she was able to win Heliopolis title for girls under 18 despite the tough draw which included all the top seeds like Magy Aziz, Noha Mohsen,Ola Abozekry,Amal Elbasha, Amina Elsahn &Miray Ishak.
Dr.Khaled Farouk, Aya's longtime coach said that the win of the Heliopolis Title was preceded by impressive performance in the previous weeks which included 3 finals & 3 semis.
Aya is currently ranked 3 in Egypt & 475 in the world,Aya is 16 years old left handed, plays for ELAHLY club & is sponsored by RIRI organization
