I was honured to present at the 2005 ITF workshop which took place at the magnificant Club Ali Bey resort,Antaly,Turkey.The theme of this year's workshop was Quality Coaching for the future.The speakers list included Aranxta Sanchez,Louis Brugera,Dr.Bruce Elliot,Dr.Daniel Gould,Ann Quinn among others.Click the headline to read all the abstracts on the ITF official website.

The 13th ITF (International Tennis Federation) Worldwide Coaches conference took place in portugal October 2003. This is a biannual meeting for coaches from all over the world hosted by the ITF the official governing body of tennis. The theme of this conference was Applied sport science for high performance tennis. I was invited by the ITF to address this prestigious gathering on the issue of anxiety in tennis and its effect on performance.You can read an abstract of my paper if you click Articles below. Our South African Guests
This December we were honoured by a surprise visit from 36 South African players representing the United School Sport Association USSASA. There were 12 boys and 12 girls under 14 years and 6 boys and 6 girls under 12. The guests participated in Heliopolis tournament which is one of the big 12 stars tournaments in the busy egyptian calender. The visiting team made his way from the pre qualifying rounds till the main draw upsetting some seeded players on the way up. Nevertheless,the south african presence was more than welcomed by the Egyptian tennis community. The guests had a busy schedule between daily practices, Heliopolis tournament and friendly visits to several clubs and private academies where we were able to arrange lots of practice matches. The "Grande finale" was a big event organized by Tawfikeya club where the South African team played against an all star egyptian team. As for the winner of the event it was everyone who participated in that day.
