Cactus Little League: Spring 2010 Divisions

Tee-Ball Divison
Tee-Ball Ages (04-06)

An introduction to the game with the emphasis on fun.

Tee-Ball is an instructional league for boys and girls ages 4-6. The ball is hit off of a tee with a player mocking a pitch.

It is the first level of Little League offered with an emphasis on basic skills. A positive environment is provided with no score kept. Managers and coaches are allowed to stay in the field with the players, instructing as needed.

Farm Divison
Farm Ages (07-08)

In the Farm Division we lose the Tee and introduce live pitching.

The coaches pitch at this level with more emphasis now placed on how to field, hitting fundamentals and the rules of the game, and run the bases.

Emphasis is on skill development. Players learn to hit a pitched ball. Coaches pitch a maximum seven pitches to each batter. Everyone on the roster bats each inning. No player can sit two consecutive innings.

Minors Division
Minors Ages (09-10)

A big change in Minor Baseball as the kids start to pitch!

The game becomes real baseball as the score is kept and umpires are used. Standings are kept and a tournament at the end of the year determines the League Champion.

Every player on the roster bats, no player can sit two consecutive innings.

Emphasis is placed on preparing players for the Majors Division.

Majors Division
Majors Ages (11-12)

Standings are kept during the season in Majors Baseball.

The League features a regular season and tournament champion, with an All-Star Team at end of the season.

This is the highest level of baseball on the "60-foot" diamond and is a highly competitive league. This is Little League's showcase division as these players have the opportunity to play in the Little League World Series.

Juniors Division
Juniors Ages (13-14)

The Juniors Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.
