Maternity BVM Wins Varsity Softball's "A" Division!

     Congratulations to the players and coaches of Maternity BVM's Varsity "A" softnball team on capturing the 2012 Region 1 title!  Our Lady of Calvary was the division's runner-up, and our congraulations are sent their way too!  Both squads did a great job of representing their Parishes.

     The season continues for Maternity BVM as they prepare to face Corpus Christi in the 2nd round of the Archdiocesan Softball Tournament on May 31.  This continues the strong showing in the Tournament by Region 1 in recent years! 

     Tournament Update:  Maternity BVM defeated Corpus Christi, 3-2, on Thursday evening to advance to the Semi-finals!  Their game will be held on Sunday afternoon at Gwynedd Mercy High School; first pitch is set for 2:00. Good Luck, ladies!  

 



New for 2012 - Rosters Available for Download!

     A newly-formatted CYO Roster, for use in all sports, is now available.  The Roster is in Word format and should be used for all teams.

Coach's Code of Conduct Now Available

A Coach's Code of Conduct is now available through our site. This short Code should serve as a guide to anyone coaching in the CYO Program, and offers excellent suggestions toward being an effective Catholic coach! To access the Code, simply select "Coach's Code of Conduct" from the menu on the left-hand side of the hompage.



New Procedures for E-Mailing Game Scores - Coaches Please Read!

   At the recent Region 1 Board Meeting, the region's Athletic Directors voted unanimously to change the way game scores are reported. Beginning with our fall sports, the winning coach will include the opposing coach's e-mail address on an e-mail containing the score to the league commissioner.  This e-mail should also include any facts about the game that the commissioner may need to know.  This format will give the opposing coach the opportunity to voice any concerns or make any comments about the game in a follow-up e-mail, should that be deemed necessary.

    It will be necessary for our league commissioners to get the e-mail addresses of every coach in his/her league and disseminate that information to everyone.

    Everyone's help with this new system is greatly appreciated.
