The Angels played an owesomew game against the Astros on Tuesday. Both teams played very good the first two innings. The scored was even at 3 at the end of two complete innings. During the top of the third inning, the Angels scored 1 more run and took the lead 4-3.  The Angels lost focused and gave up 4 runs on the bottom of the third and 3 more on the bottom of the fourth. At the end of 4 complete innings the score was 10-4 in favor of the Astros. The Angels coaching staff got the players together and all the kids played their hearts out and scored 2 more runs on the top of the fifth and did not allow the Astros to score another run on the bottom of the fifth. With the score 10-6 at the end of five complete innings, the Angels had the opportunity to score some runs in the six inning but fell short. The Angels scored 2 more runs but the Astros turn the third out and the game ended with a final score 10-8.

The Angels have Easter weekend off but need to get ready for their next game. The Angels will face the Padres on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 5:00 PM.

The Angels hosted the Padres on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. It didn't look like the Angels were focused and had any interest in fielding. The Angels did outhit the Padres but the Padres were just to quick on the bases after getting on base on walks. The Padres managed to score 4 runs in every inning while the Angels struggle to score some runs. The game was called at the completion of 5 innings with a score of 20-11 in favor of the Padres. 

The Angels will be playing the Red Sox on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 5:00PM at Harborside Elementary School.

The Chula Vista National Little League celebrated the start of their 51st season. Right after opening ceremonies, the Angels played their first game against the Dodgers. The kids looked focused and ready to play. Yancy Bird took the mound for the first game and pitch a strong 3 innings. The team scored 4 runs in the first inning, 3 in the second inning and 4 in the third. Manager, Tim Berroth called on Christian Munoz to pitch the 4th inning. The Dodgers did not allow the Angels to score a run on the bottom of the 4th. Josh Berroth was called to pitch the top of the 5th and the Angels scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the 5th. The umpires called the game at the end of the 5th after the score was 14-4.

Winning the first game is nice but there is a lot of work ahead. It is going to be a long season and the Angels need to focus on the next game against the Astros on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.
