Coaches,
Believe it or not, planning for the 2010 softball season has begun! The Central Valley Fastpitch League, Connecticut's premier summer travel ball league for the past 15 years, will be holding its Annual Winter Meeting, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Southington Police Department’s Meeting Room. The meeting will last approximately 1 and ½ hours. Any team interested playing in the CVFL in 2010 is welcome to join.
The CVFL plays a regular season schedule culminating with a season-ending tournament. Whether you are looking for simply a high-quality competitive league to occupy your summer or looking for weekday games to help your team prepare for weekend tournaments, the CVFL is just the thing! Directions to the Southington Police Department are noted below. If you cannot make it, please feel free to send someone in your place.
The tentative agenda for the meeting includes the following: Review of the 2009 Season; Expectation for the 2010 Season; Adoption of the date for the 2010 CVFL Tournament; Proposal to convert from modified ASA to PONY rules; review and adoption of the By Laws; safety issues and other matters.
If you have any other items you want to include on the agenda, please let me know.
Note that the Annual Scheduling Meeting will be held in March 2010 as always.
I hope to see you at the Winter Meeting.
In the meantime, please call me (Home: 860-628-5798, Cell: 860-982-3871, Work: 860-275-3624) or email me CVFLcommissioner@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
