Steve Zazuri Follows in Father’s Footsteps to Sacred Heart

Despite playing his high school basketball in one of Connecticut’s smallest public high schools, Steve Zazuri has realized his dream of being a division I basketball player.
At this time next year Steve Zazuri Jr. will be preparing for his freshman year at Sacred Heart University…and he will have big shoes to fill. His father, Steve Zazuri Sr, is not only a former Pioneer himself but also the school’s all time assist leader.
“I’ve wanted to go there since I knew my dad went there,” said the younger Zazuri. “I’m really excited. When it was finally done my whole family was really happy.”
