CRUSADER YOUTH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION: Welcome
Our calendar has been updated with the Saturday Bantam game schedule. Also, check out the handouts and forms section for our concession schedule for the 2014 season.
Crusader Youth Football is designed for area youth ages 7-14 (Non-High school students) and acts as a feeder football program for St Edward High School in Elgin. Our teams play in the highly competitive IYFL (Illini Youth Football League). The IYFL provides organized youth football for teams in Northeastern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. The IYFL provides both a competitive Sunday program and an instructional Saturday program. The Crusaders field teams at the Bantam, Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight division levels.
At any time you may contact Mike Holte at 847-695-2987 or 630-742-2249 for more information regarding our Crusader Football program. You can also send emails to email@example.com.

Practice was off to a good start Monday! It was nice to see many returning players as well as some new faces out there too! We are looking forward to a great football season!
A few reminders for our players and families...
1)It looks like our first weekend of games will be August 16th. As soon as the league finalizes a schedule it will be emailed to all our families, posted on facebook, and available on our website. Check out the calendar on our website which is updated regularly with events, practices, important dates and games once we have a schedule. Also, like us on facebook for frequent updates on what is happening with the Crusaders. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Crusader-Youth-Football/152460851477448
2) Spirit wear is available in our handouts and forms section. The form has an email contact for the local company we use-TMITEES. They are also a Crusader family so you are welcome to contact the company by email or you can find Megan Turner or Candice Gillen at the field during practices to help answer any questions. If you can't find Megan or Candice then forms and money can be turned into coaches at any practice and they can pass it on.
3) Some parents have asked what they need to supply for their players...Equipment handout will be this Thursday. Your player will receive a helmet, shoulder pads, and a game jersey. For practices you will need to supply a practice jersey to go over the shoulder pads, a pair of football pants with thigh and knee and hip pads, cleats, and a mouthguard. It is recommended to get the strap to attach mouthguard to the helmet. For practices there is no specific color for pants or jerseys. Some players even use an old big tshirt for practices .
For games all levels will wear black pants and long black football socks.
If you have any additional questions about uniform or requirements please see your coach.
4) Our organization has relied on the support of our Crusader families to help run concession during our home games....Once a schedule is finalized by the league we will email out a concession schedule to all the families. We typically just ask for each family to work one shift during the season which is about the time frame of one of the football games. We do make a point to avoid putting you in concessions during your own player's game(s). Once we email the concession schedule you will also be able to find it on the website as well as facebook with a contact for any questions or concerns related to concessions.
***We are looking forward to another great season for Crusader Youth Football! Remember if you have questions or concerns at any time you can contact Mike Holte as posted on our website. Go Crusaders!!!!
