CRLL looking for volunteers in Osgoode and Manotick area east of Rideau to start up local teams

CRLL is looking to fill a void by adding teams in it's most western area.  We are looking for volunteers to form an Osgoode/Manotick baseball association.  We would like to be able to offer local baseball to kids 4 to 18 in this area.  We currently have active associations in Greely, Russell, Embrun and Casselman. T-Ball: 4 to 7, Minor: 8 to 10, Major: 11-12, Junior: 13-14, Senior: 15-16-17 

The 2009 CRLL Playoff Champions 

Minor: The 2nd place Embrun Bulldogs (12-6) upset the favored 1st place Casselman2 Voltigeurs (14-1) beating them 4-3 in an extra inning FINALS.

Major: The Embrun Rays beat the the turnaround Greely Hawks (4-14) in the FINALS to add to their impressive regular season (14-3-1).

 Junior: The Greely Hawks beat the 16-2 1st place regular season Clarence Cougars in the FINALS.  The Hawks finished in 2nd place (11-7) during the regular season. 

 Senior: The 1st place Rockland Stars (13-2) beat the second half surging Hawkesbury Seniors twice by scores of 13-3 to win the FINALS.

The Minor Aces went 4-0 at the 2009 District 6 Championship beating PRLL 9-3, Gloucester 15-5, South Ottawa 5-3 and Glebe 10-8 to represent District 6 at the Provincials in Oakville Ontario.

At the Provincial Championships, our Aces lost their first game 9-2 to East Nepean, bounced back to beat Timmins 18-7 and were eliminated by Brockville 14-3.

This is only the 2nd CRLL team to win District since 1987.  In 1997 a CRLL Major team won our District 6.
