Founded in 1978, Central Michigan University has a strong Rugby tradition. CMU has qualified for the Collegiate Championship playoffs every year from 1994-2002. Recent accomplishments are 1st place, Michigan Cup 1996, 1st place Michigan Cup 1998, 2nd place Michigan Cup 1999, 1st place, Ohio Classic Rugby tournament, 1999, 2nd place MAC championship tournament, 2000, First Place, Division II Michigan Union, 2001, Second Place in the 2002 Michigan Cup, and 1st place Detroit Collegiate Invitational 2007.
