Confirmed Tournament Dates to Remember
June 12th-14th @ Columbus, OH (ASA, 8 game guarantee, $445.00)
**June 20th-21st @ Versailles, KY (ASA, 4 game guarantee $.00)
**July 18th-19th @ Versailles, KY (ASA, 4 game guarantee, $.00)
July 25th-26th @ Bowling Green, KY (ASA, 5 game guarantee, $250.00)
**We must work these two tournaments along with the Memorial Madness Tournament May 30th and 31st. We won't play in the Memorial Madness but we must work the tournament.
Tournament Dates to be filled:
June 6th (We have several tournaments to choose from but it may be tricky to play in one since the HS season may still be going on for some players)
June 27th (OPEN, However this could be a weekend we play in a state sanctioned tournament)
July 4th (OPEN, However this could be a weekend we play in a state sanctioned tournament)
July 11th (Either Georgetown, KY or Columbus, IN.)
August, 1st (OPEN, Leaning toward playing in the USAAA Cinn/Dayton 5 game tournament)
August, 8th (Either Georgetown, KY or another tournament… most likely this one since this is the Slammer fest)
August, 15th (OPEN, P. Forge, TN tournament not posted yet but regardless this will be our last softball weekend)
Fundraising
The fundraiser was fairly successful, but we fail short of our $1,400 team goal. Only 7 girls from our 13 team roster participated and there were other school fundraisers going on at the time. Our total sales were $1,422.78 and total profit was $529.15. Our team will conduct one more fundraiser and it is important that all of the players participate in order to keep our expenses per player at a reasonable rate. Players who don't participate in fundraising events will pay more than those who do not. Our next fundraiser will come close to Mother's Day. We will be opening up a Kentucky Rocker Elite account through Kentucky Bank and Sharon Whitlock has agreed to assist me with this process. I still do not know how much money we will receive from the Rocker organization for the three tournaments they are hosting this summer but we must work in all three Rocker tournaments in order to receive any money. Also, keep in mind that we are responsible this summer for our own account and will be covering our own expenses. I will not know what each girl owes until we do our last fundraiser.
Uniforms
I plan to place uniform orders for new players toward the end of January and I need to have each new player confirm with me what size they want. We will also be placing an order for team helmets by the end of February and softball pants once I hear from Les where we are getting them from. Also, the Rocker organization is ordering parent t-shirts and softball caps for any parent who would like one. I believe they will be doing one big mass order sometime in the spring. Also, we would like to add the players last name to their uniform so I will be needing the returning players uniforms sometime in the near future.
